Emperor Acid Witch Psychedelic Metal Vest

The flash from the camera makes the vest look a bit different (more vivid); it's actually a deep purple. I dyed this myself and cut up a shirt to use as the back patch. The dripping "slime" is free handed fabric glue with a custom mix of glitter put on top. A sealant went over that. The collar has green gem studs that were applied by hand. I have probably put about 14 hours into this thing. I still need to try to fix the shoulder area and take it in on the waist a bit more. I'd say it's about 90% done because I don't like the look of completely covered vests.

I don't think it is gonna crack. Fabric glue dries kinda rubbery and I didn't use a whole lot of it. I just used Mod Podge with a lustre finish over it as a sealant. I am a bit worried that if it rains it might get a bit messed up because it's water based. They do have a waterproof formula that I am looking to get, though.

The green slime is such a great idea, especially on a purple vest! Love the Inquisition and Electric Wizard patches too.
How are you going to take the waist of this in? I want to do that to my vest, but not really sure which bits to cut/sew...

Honestly, I'm not very good at altering things! One of my friends already help me do it a little bit, but it needs more (I'm totally regretting buying a men's medium instead of a small). I would just put on your vest inside out and then use pins on the sides to make an outline of the fit you want. Then flip it back and see if it fits your body well and modify accordingly. Then just sew where it was pinned without cutting so if you make a mistake (or gain any weight like I probably will lol) you can rip out the thread and re-do it. I hope that makes sense; I do not really know what I'm talking about :)
