As you can probably guess, I really like Voivod. I'm mostly into weird/raw/aggressive extreme metal, preferably made by people who don't realise how strange their music actually is and so don't overdo it and end up like Dream Theater. Progressive metal is my favourite subgenre, although I hate about 97% of it (weird-for-weirdness'-sake avant-garde circus music and style-over-substance Dream Theater clones, the antithesis of progression). I am, however, pretty open-minded and will give anything you care to suggest a go.
