I can safely assume a lot of those patches are home made, possibly with iron on paper. Though, they still look pretty damn good!

The patches need to be closer together IMO. It looks a little too random, but hey that's just my opinion. Battle jackets are meant to be your own personalized jacket. Still an awesome jacket
