200 is pretty fair, 60 is outrageous

No the 60€ offer was for another shirt I have for sale, the guy tried to offer me 100€ for my burzum hlto test print because "it's late 90's so it isn't worth that much" sigh
Djinn on
I know it's pretty lengthy but if you read the conversation you will see the stupidity of it all.

even 100 Euro is very low. 100 would maybe be reasonable for a medium or small. ATLEAST 150 for yours

Well this is an actual business (registered at the chamber of commerce) according to the internet. So just like all those vintage sellers online, he’s just trying to buy stuff cheap to flip for a higher price. Realistic chance he’s never even heard Burzum and knows shit about metal music in general. Instagram is full of people like that, they’re even on this site. Just fuck ‘em, it’s only about the money to them.
Djinn on
Sure but like a 100€ offer for a 1 of 1 test print with a counterpart common print that was printed in the thousands that sells around 150-200€ is all sorts of ridiculous, even for these people.

Just saying you shouldn't take it personal. They'll lowball 10 people per day and if you have one person that bites, that's ok for them.
You know, these flippers have no shame. A friend of mine had an original Deathcrush LP and sold it to a guy who 'had it back in the 80s and foolishly sold it. And was now looking desperately to get it back out of nostalgia. But the prices were too expensive and he didn't have a lot of money so he would really appreciate it if he could get a nice price on my friends copy'.
The same day the flipper received the record in the mail he put it on ebay and sold it for a few hundreds of euro more than what he bought it from.
I loathe the behaviour but there are people out there who'll do anything if they think they can earn a buck or two. I try to ignore them because they're not worthy of ruining my mood. Music for me is passion, but I have noticed a long time ago that for some people it's about different things.

Oh man that story with your friend is infuriating, some people really have no shame, but you're right I shouldn't let it get to me, I'm a bit tired nowadays so this guy really came at a bad time.

He sounds mad he couldn’t get it for his lowball offer to flip, I’d just ignore/block - 0 interest in selling anything to resellers

When i was on depop and selling my old Darkthrone longsleeves I starting prompting buyers to write a few paragraphs about what their favorite Darkthrone album was and why when making offers, and the better (better as in obviously written by an actual metalhead, not the best writing style) would get a lower price. I also had a blanket ban on users with the word “vtg” anywhere in their name.
