I always wondered about this shirt. Why does everbody want it? I mean it's a completely non-typical Slayer shirt, no demons and stuff, it's sociocritical and shoking because it shows something nobody really wants to talk about. Or are there other aspects, besides it's rare?

The shirt is so popular because it was instantly banned and deemed controversial.. so there were not many made. The shirt tells the story of a young guy who is a metal head and he has been accepted into the army and they demand that he cuts his hair and doesn't bring any audio equipment with him on the day they sign up. The letter is on the back... cut a long story short he commits suicide because he doesn't want to cut his hair etc.. slayerized website tells the story. And mandatory suicide is the song that matches the picture.

yeah, I know the whole story, but it fascinates me, that nearly every slayer fan wants this shirt. I think it looks like a so-called modern Hipster-Shirt, with big picture prints, and a lot of the metal fans don't want to look that way.

They want it because it's labelled the rarest Slayer shirt in existence. Which I beg to differ. Also, what could be more SHOCKING than a hanging boy on a tshirt. That's just taboo. It gives it an edge. I agree with you on the big squares.. But it's trying to make the viewer seem like they are in the room.

This is by far not the rarest slayer shirt. Back in the day you saw this shirt very often. The early and mid 80s shirts are more rare than this one. Like the original tourshirts, And indeed it wonders me that people will pay hundreds of dollars/euro's for this shirt. Last year I saw this shirt at least 7 times online for trade or sale. But I've never seen the original Show no Mercy for sale or trade. Besides that, it is a very cool shirt that you try to sell, so nothing on that, but its not the rarest. Goodluck with selling this, and if nobudy gives you nan exceptable bid, let me now and ill buy this from you ;) Cheers!

Two of the dumbest questions I have received this week regarding my Hanging Boy shirt, for sale on eBay-

1 guy asking me to please sell him the shirt for 300 as he can make $400 for it in Hong Kong!. So basically asking can he make a hundred bucks off my shirt...

2nd guy- Oh, I am delighted by this shirt, and I want to make a poster of it...

Yeah I agree, but it surely has to be the most CONTROVERSIAL and therefore, collectors have a real reason to by this, because how many shirts tell a good story, like this? Good, as in captivating btw. Controversial shirts always sell well, because that's what metal/rock is about...being a bad ass and rebelious to society. Like the Guns n Roses rape scene shirt is a big seller. My 'Reign in blood' shirt is definately one of the rarest shirts. Altar of sacrifice original is but the Slatanic shirts aren't all that rare, the reason they are so popular is because Kerry King wore that shirt in the 80s and because it's the official fan club of Slayer 'Slatanic Wehrmacht' or 'Slaytanic". Anyways... I won't sell under $400. Shouldn't be too long and someone will snavel this up!
