Pull the Plug Patches is up to their same old bullshit, again. With all the posting and bragging about "Limited Inventory" and "No Restocks" they continue to set a new low for lying to customers. I've noticed when they release back patches they claim "limited to" numbers, then when the item sells out they remove the "limited to (50, 70, 100 or whatever the item was limited to) and restock again. For a company to claim the highest standards and integrity this not only lying, but is actually false advertising screwing the customer who bought it because it is a "limited item" , it is especially dishonest when they offer them as pre-orders and take the customers money making them think they might miss out on the item if they sell out during the pre-order period. If they mean to restock in the future then don't lie by posting "limited to" hard numbers. The latest example of this is the Metallica And Justice for All BP's that they restocked today. I have included PICS of their listings as examples of this dishonest crap. Why lie about numbers just don't post any from the start if you intend to restock? This is blatant false advertising. Are they open to some sort of class action lawsuit? I hear they threaten to sue others for less. This has happened too many times to be accidental.
Yellow "is limited to 60"
Black "is limited to 40"
Grey "is limited to 50"
all these options Sold Out so they added a Blue Border which also Sold Out and today 4/9/2026 they have restocked ALL borders. So much for honesty and integrity !

Unfortunately there's nothing in australian law that prohibits this

Australian law does actually have something against false advertising, but I can't be arsed looking into it. If anything someone would be able to tell an ombudsman who would take the investigation from there.

Just offshore imported crap marked up to gouge fans. It's the Aussie way.

I swear to god im so close to buying patches from here for cheaper and reselling them to Aussie for less than what ever the fuck Pull or whatever other shitty website is selling them for

Bought two shirts from them once through pre-order, shipping date was delayed by 3 months (!) and the shirt / print quality was crap - definitely my first and last order.

Bad business owned by a smug arsehole with a cultish fanbase that he perpetuates. Flooding the market with crappy shapes and designs - not actually a proper Australian business. Spend your money elsewhere - Simon has a cushy job at the University of Newcastle so it's not as if he's under financial hardship.

So he's an academic -- that explains the twatty attitude, entitlement, and exploitative grifting. White collar nepo babies infesting metal scenes with their performative cunty edgelordery are all the same.

"In contrast, Simon says, plugheads have a faith in his capacity to experiment with different shapes and crappy materials, and an understanding that the patch game is whatever he decides to make it.
And therein lies the aim of his work.
“I strive to make a difference through challenging people to re-examine what they think they know about patch shapes, and start to see the potential for togetherness and mutual support that comes when they are willing to entertain different modes of filling my pockets.”
He stresses he is not out to convince everyone that they should suddenly begin to identify as plugheads, but hopes we will give more thought to the need for mutual aid and cooperation in paying his salary.
So forget storming jails and burning down parliament, let’s start by buying Simons patches."

The idea of Simon of all people being a champion and philosopher of anarchism (which advocates for the abolition of capitalism) is fucking hilarious

Completely punchable face.

Somehow I doubt their rabid fanbase even register this slippery tactic... "buy buy buy" seems to be the first and only commandment of the PTP fanatic.

Not sure why anyone even buys from this site, it's very overpriced. Way better alternatives with the same or even better quality and service.

Looking for a tomb of the mutilated backpatch in Europe preferably. I was thinking about theirs but now that y’all said this, screw them, only ones i found are 80€+ or sublimated crap
hexerey on
You can always make one out of a T-shirt if you're not opposed to it. That way you can even get screen print :)
Bestialinfestat... on
Yeah that’s honestly my best option i have like 5 tomb shirts so i could definitely do it, but a woven patch would be preferred i’ll see if i can score anything

Dont like most of their color and detail overkill patches anyway. Let alone those weird shapes and border colors...
But how can they have licenses from like every band ever?! Dont think a band like Maiden would allow their releases.
hexerey on
They go directly through the label not the band itself. There have been cases where bands sued ptpp for making boots of them because of shady deals that their record label and ptpp made without the bands knowing... Also the owner produced and collected bootlegs before ptpp. What a fucking hypocrite!

I've been reading your posts and decided to add my two cents. Please note that I don't intend to target anyone personally. This is just my opinion as I have some experience with PTPP.
I bought many PTPP patches starting in 2019. I can confirm that for some time now, PTPP's communication has been confusing, to say the least. I remember the first batches of about 50 pieces, which sold out in seconds, even though they were released at 8 a.m. Sydney time. Ordering more than one piece was forbidden, as it meant being "greedy," and the entire order was canceled. On the PTPP profile, you could find comments from disappointed people who had lost their chance to buy a given patch. PTPP confidently stated that there would be no reprints because he wasn't doing it for profit as he was not a capitalist. He simply created the patches because there were no official OSDM patches for many bands at the time and production required a minimum order of 50 pieces. He kept a few for himself, a few went to the designer and sold the rest. I believed him, everyone did. I think it was true positive attitude back then, PTPP wasn't trying to deceive anyone.
Later, there was a huge boom in patches (so called "patch game") and with it, a redefinition of PTPP's approach. It grew into a family business; they needed a warehouse to accommodate the growing inventory, used clever, targeted marketing and so on. Longtime customers still believed they were buying limited editions, which is - in fact - what the website stated. I remember that specific numbers were provided. There are many examples, such as the Deicide Once Upon the Cross backpatch – which sold out in the past and was recently restocked.
I think some of the complaints in the posts above can be considered justified. PTPP gave the impression of creating strictly limited editions. Customers were driven by FOMO. Some bought patches in bulk (the limits were lifted), hoping to resell them for a profit after a few years. And here's a surprise – even the shaped Blood Incantation Hidden History of the Human Race patch, a copy of which once sold on eBay for a fortune, has been restocked, this time with the comment "No guarantee of restocks." So we should buy it while it's still available, but with no guarantee it won't reappear in a year.
I disagree with the criticisms about the quality. It's okay. I've seen better, but also much worse. Maybe I'm not an expert? To be honest, I like many of their patches.
In summary, in my opinion, PTPP's no-restocks philosophy was true in the early days, but it has metamorphosed into its current profit-driven form. It's just a shame they aren't fully transparent about their limited edition policies, limited availability, "one-day only availability," etc. This may leave long-time customers feeling a bit cheated.
I hope I haven't offended anyone with my opinion. Dr. Death, if I'm violating TShirtSlayer's policies, please let me know and I'll edit this post. I don't want to be deleted ;)
