I don't think I'll be making another typical German vest anytime soon since coming up with the layout drives me nuts. Must have taken hundreds of hours.

It's a bit of a meme. I think someone on facebook groups posted a fully patched vest and then someone else posted a very similiar of his own so people though it was the same vest. They were both German so thats where it comes from.
