Vectrex's picture

The quality of my phonecam sucks so hard..i don't get a sharp picture

deadlock's picture

Good taste lad

Nater90's picture

Wicked taste, The Vomitor looks so wicked shaped, What's the best way to shape it?

3
Vectrex's picture

I don't know..I use a needle and a candle

Chainbreaker's picture

Can you please elaborate on this? I want to shape some woven patches myself, but I don't know how to do it.

5
Into Glory Ride's picture

A dude on the storm crusher fest with one of the most wicked vests i have ever seen told me "Soldering Iron is the magic word, man!"

5
Chainbreaker's picture

Unfortunately I don't have one. So if I get it correctly, you cut the shape and then solder the thread so it doesn't raffle, right? Do you keep the cut-out in the flame of the candle?

5
Into Glory Ride's picture

I myself have no idea.... But that's how i imagine it to be, yeah. :)

5
Chainbreaker's picture

Yeah, but then my question is how long and how do you keep it into the flame for it to never raffle again.

5
Into Glory Ride's picture

No clue, really... If i were You i would try it with an old patch You do not need anymore, or with any other piece of cloth, just as a test.

5
Vectrex's picture

if you use a needle it will automatically cauterize the borders. You just take the needle and put it in the patch where you want to cut it out. The cotton simply molds around the needle. It's no magic, really..just try it.

Vectrex's picture

You take a needle put it in a cork, make the needle hot over the candle and then you cut out with it what you want...easy as that :D You can make like ...2 seconds of burning with it. then you have to heat it up again for seconds.

Sounds like a task for someone who killed his mother and his father...

5
Vectrex's picture

It takes like 30-60 minutes depending on the motive and size.

Into Glory Ride's picture

Ok , it IS such a task :D
Another dude with similar Vest style told me he made all these cut outs by just cutting them out and after that use a lighter to sort of melt the ´borders together. But he said You have to experiment a little bit before this works fine.

5
Nine Turning Mirrors's picture

I shape my patches like that aswell. It's way easier, but not as acurate as the "hot needle" version.

Vectrex's picture

Yes you never get the same accuracy with scissors. Here is an example...i shaped that CF Patch with a needle and you can really shape it on the exact outlines of the pictures https://tshirtslayer.com/patch/celtic-frost-shape

Chainbreaker's picture

??? Isst dass ein deutsches Sprichwort? Oder eine "Inside Joke"?

5
Into Glory Ride's picture

Eine Art Deutsches Sprichwort! The kind of work that is really, really hard and You wish noone having the duty to do it.

5
Chainbreaker's picture

Ok, you got me worried there for a moment.;-)

5
Into Glory Ride's picture

hahaha :D

5
Der Todesking's picture

"Für jmd. der Mutter & Vater erschlagen hat" ... LOL! Geil! XD

5
Into Glory Ride's picture

Du kanntest das nicht? :)

5
Chainbreaker's picture

Ok, danke vielmals!

5
Into Glory Ride's picture

Nicht schlecht! ;)

5
Chainbreaker's picture

5
Razmachine's picture

Awesome! Wicked backpatch and those Destroyer 666 patches!

5
Zek's picture

awesome vest

5
Vectrex's picture

Updated pictures. Found the option for more pixels on the phonecam :D

Into Glory Ride's picture

Killer!
Richtig nett geworden, Meister! :)

5
Vectrex's picture

Naja soweit zufrieden...

Into Glory Ride's picture

Was das andere angeht: Mach halt Sport, Jung' ! :D

5
Iamdagon's picture

5
Vectrex's picture

Wieso? ich hab doch ne Taillie

Chainbreaker's picture

The back looks fucking amazing!!! Don't change a thing! I don't really know how I feel about the front, though. I feel it would look better with the sides patched up as well or with the patches spread out. Now it looks like somewhere between a "german style" fully patched up vest and a "classic" vest. But can be it looks good when you wear it, so I don't know. Anyway, killer vest!

5
Into Glory Ride's picture

Haha, what is this German Style everybody talks about? I recently came across many vests that do not have any square patches at all, only and solely custom shaped ones. I love that style !

5
Chainbreaker's picture

I think Atomicide made the reference once and I just picked it up for lack of a better word.;-) If I look at all the legendary German vests on here like "The Old Beast" (which I love btw), I think there's truth to it, though!;-) I don't want to generalise, off course there are germans with other kinds of vests. Everybody has his own style and taste of lay-out not to mention music, which makes this site so great!

5
Daniel Sodomaniac's picture

So a German vest is a vest with many patches, mine did`nt have many patches in the early days so it was`nt German back then.
Nowadays abit more so it might be German now though i`m Swedish, i am confused!
Ha just fucking around abit, cheers :)!

Chainbreaker's picture

Hahaha, great!

5
Vectrex's picture

:(

Chainbreaker's picture

What? Why?

5
Chainbreaker's picture

Apparently you took my musings for criticism and this was in no way my intention, friend. If you want I'll delete my post. What I really wanted to say and you need to remember was: Killer vest! Among the top 20 of my favorite vests on this site! Love the colour combination, the symmetry, in short the whole lay-out! (And I mean this whole-heartedly, not sarcastic or to spare your feelings) It could use a Turtles patch though!;-)

5
Into Glory Ride's picture

Yep, the Color Scheme is indeed something i like aswell about this vest!

5
Vectrex's picture

Nah bro, don't worry i can deal with criticism and i'am glad someone writes what he thinks!

Chainbreaker's picture

Ok, thank you, I just wanted to clarify myself.

5
Chainbreaker's picture

And I like it even more because it's a small vest and I know for a fact the difficulties to patch up a small vest (having a teenagers vest myself, cause I couldn't find one that wouldn't look baggy once patched up)

5
Morbideath's picture

Simple, effective and beautiful!

PForx's picture

Pretty cool!

5
GoatMaiden's picture

TrendyFuckingPoser's picture

looks amazing

5
Necro Rican's picture

Killer old school style jacket!!

5
Raging Steeler's picture
