Metal Church - Blessing In Disguise / The Blessing Tour 1989 by ©️ Great Southern Company & Collection, probably one of my favorite albums of all time,really great tunes till the end! a record just to put "Play"
Blessing in Disguise is the third studio album by American heavy metal band Metal Church, released on February 7, 1989.

It was the band's final release on Elektra Records. This was the first album not to feature the vocals of David Wayne, due to his departure to form the band Reverend. This release featured new vocalist Mike Howe (ex-Heretic) and guitarist John Marshall, who took over Kurdt Vanderhoof's position. Kurdt Vanderhoof had produced Heretic's final album Breaking Point previously. It seems that this is how Mike Howe came to the attention of Metal Church. David Wayne's new project was made up of the remaining members of Heretic.
With Howe and Marshall, Metal Church released their third studio album, Blessing in Disguise, in 1989. Critics responded favorably, including some assertions that the record was the group's strongest effort. Blessing in Disguise was even more successful than its predecessors, peaking at number 75 on the Billboard 200; this was Metal Church's highest chart position, until it was surpassed 27 years later by XI. Despite touring well behind the album throughout 1989 and 1990 (with bands such as Metallica, W.A.S.P., Accept, Fates Warning, Saxon, Celtic Frost and Meliah Rage), they were dropped from Elektra.

This music video is called "Bad Lands" from this album and it is the only one version I have seen.

Really sick collection! The 'Church has been one of my favorite bands for as long as I have been into metal. Love that great shirt with the cruciform Explorer on it!
