Just wanting to ask some of their favorite new bands or bands they've found recently and been getting into a lot lately? For me I've been exploring a lot of folk metal and some of my current favorites are HEIDEVOLK, Falkenbach, and Korpiklaani. I'm not new to the genre but I've been delving a lot deeper than the likes of Moonsorrow and Ensiferum. Sorry now I'm rambling, so what bands have you been really getting into lately???
Solstafir...just only recently started listening to them for no reason and ended up buying both their albums, and a band called The Resistance from Sweden, with ex In Flames members and the singer out of the haunted, a mix between InFlames, Entombed and The Haunted.... Great stuff
I need some new tunes getting pretty burnt out on what I've been listening to. Heidevolk is my shit though good choice. Check out nordheim, equilibrium, yonder realm, isenmor, blackguard, and aether realm for some lesser known folk metal.
THE END, the new death metal band of Rick Rozz sounds really good! The vocals are fucking brutal and I like it when a vocalist is also a bass or a guitar player, in this case a bass player. Awesome catchy riffs combined with the great drumming. I'm looking forward to the physical format of the EP in January. For now I received the rough mixes which are damn good!
Buy the EP next year, you won't regret it!

After being on a bit of a black metal kick, digging stuff like enbilulugugal, tjolgtjar, gonkulator, nyogthaeblisz, kult ofenzivy, ildjarn, striborg, summoning, mysticum, etc..., lately I've started re-visiting some old death metal classics that I haven't listened to in many years; immolation "failures for gods" (my favorite from them), incantation "mortal throne of nazarene", mortician, bolt thrower "realm of chaos" and "IVth crusade", deicide "legion", samael "blood ritual" & "ceremony of opposites" to name a few.... power trip's "manifest decimation" i've not tired of since it was released.....and of course there are the staples in my listening habits, almost any old bathory shit, all morbid angel (excluding the last stinker), all old danzig-era misfits, and psycho
GRUESOME! The ONLY album this year that's stood out and made me take notice. It's fucking brilliant and been on constant play in my car and house since it dropped. Everything else has been utterly forgettable.
A lot of "autumn black metal" to fit the season. Ulver, Darkthrone, Dødheimsgard, Forgotten Woods, Taake, Wyrd, Siebenbürgen, Gorgoroth, Ljå, Summoning, Abigor and so on.
Cattle Decapitation... after i saw them live with cannibal corpse i bought the new album they are fuckin kickass live and im gonna check out their other shit too
