How to do studding on a Military jacket? (M65 Jacket - Any military surplus)

Hello, so recently i finally decided on trying to get an army jacket (mainly one of those M65 ones) to make a battle jacket since they're dirt cheap.
Past some patches that i plan to get/make myself later on for it, i'm thinking of studding one of it's shoulders though i'm not sure how to do so.

I'm pretty much a beginner on this and i don't want to ruin a perfectly good jacket because of my "artistic skills", so any good tips/videos or ways of doing so?
Would be amazing if some of you know cheaper ways of doing so too.

if its an m65 id just remove the liner and stud it as normally. kinda hard to do it "perfectly" cause by studding you kinda force holes into stuff tho.

Based on the printed retro style inside “tag” with the lightning bolt I’d have to say mid 2000s.
