What do you mean with thrash clothes, there is not such a thing as a thrash uniform. Just wear a bandshirt, jeans, shoes, jacket... thrash comes from the inside;) be yourself dude! Than youll be a real thrasher. Cheers

TUTORIAL ON HOW TO BE THRASH

1- listen to some thrash
2- did you enjoy it? if yes, repeat step 1, or else see step 3
3- go listen to something else

Hahahaha, goeie Georg :D

This is the formula. See, if you end up digging thrash, your clothes will just become old, ripped and beerstained from shows. Go to shows. Flip up your brim and bang at the rail or get your ass in the pit. Your new mall jeans will get "vintage" real quick.

I find it funny Because most of you guys are acting all hard to converse with , saying like "theres no such thing as a thrash uniform". I mean sure there isnt a required one, But almost every single one of you people have a denim vest with 6 billion patches crammed into it, with white nikes and long hair.... I suggest stop acting so stupid

Really? I can understand if you are a teen but if you are thirty years old then that is just sad. Sorry.

Stuff like this is one of the many reasons I did away with the "old school image" so long ago. I haven't worn a battle jacket in a year. TOO MANY place high-priority over the image rather than starting a band that accomplishes something rather than being one of those "run-of-the-mill" retro bands. This has become one giant circle jerk of who has more patches rather than who has more musical talent. I swear, I have more respect for guys like Devin Townsend than for some tool that think he is more metal than everyone else just because he has all vintage patches. I don't know why many still consider is just the "thrash image" when many death metal bands in the past wore the same shit as well. Actually, most of them like Malevolent Creation just had jeans, t shirt, and sneakers. Nothin' fancy. I say nothin' fancy because white hi tops back then where worn by everyone, not just metalheads (Saved By The Bell comes to mind). It was the "in thing" then. So, even that was a trend then just as it is now.

No one is being a "non-conformist" by dressing the part. You are still conforming to ideals and standards by those set by the group. True "non-conformity" comes with the heart and mind, not by the clothes you wear. Sorry if this sounds bitter but this is the truth and the truth hurts. Portions of the metal scene need some "tough lovin'".

"I say, beware of all enterprises that require new clothes"- Henry David Thoreau
