Alice In Chains Jacket "Metal: 1985♻️1995" theme

My trusty Blues Union denim jacket with my favourite bands...

Theme: All bands on my jacket were active during (some continuing after) the '85-95 decade.

~CARCASS~ logo - hand-drawn in 1993, re-inked (bought back to life from fading) in 2013.
!T.O.O.H.! hand-drawn, inked & painted in 2014.
A few new patches & pins added, too....

Most of the patches are original releases that I bought in the early to mid 1990s, except for the Macabre back-patch which is new and replaced a Metallica "In Vertigo You Will Be" back patch, and the Cathedral strip which is a current Earache issue, plus the bootleg Carnage & Entombed circular patches, Sinister, and Carnivore patches.
GOLEM patch made from an official shirt I got from the band but sadly didn't fit me.... Went to good use here, though.

I've had a lot of practice drawing the Carcass logo - they are my favourite band.
I will upload a pic of the front soon - it has a Carcass "tools of the trade" patch / repulsion / dead can dance

So you consider Cathedral death metal in some instances? That helps because I really want to put them on my death metal vest! Also LOVE the backpatch, and damn what a great drawing of the Carcass logo too!!!

Thanks for the kind words on the drawn logo dudes! I don't really consider Cathedral (or FNM) to be death metal... But who cares - these are just my favourite bands. I say go for it with the patch.... Cathedral fucking rule(d) RIP

I am thinking of cutting the sleeves off this jacket. I've had this thing for over 20years.... (It currently doesn't have any patches on the sleeves) Once I do it, I can't go back though... It's like cutting off long hair after you've grown it for years - except even more permanent :P
What does everyone think I should do?

Yeah, my gut feeling is to give them the chop... It's just kinda weird coz it's been a jacket for so long. The only thing is, the should seams kind of hang a centimeter or two just past my actual shoulders. I hope it doesn't sit strange coz I read a few comments above saying stuff about using a smaller jacket if you're gonna cut it.

I cut up the sleeves off mine even though it sits over the shoulders. It's not too noticeable if you wear a jacket or hoodie underneath. Go for it! Just think about it this way: you'll be able to wear it even during hot weather now, and in combo with other jackets hahah. And I almost forgot to ask: is that Regurgitate patch woven/embroidered or just printed?

Haha, cheers man, that's a good point :) I do wear hoodies quite a bit, so I definitely could do that. And I've got another less patched up jacket if I ever do need to wear something with sleeves. I am leaning toward the snip, I think ;)
I bought the RGTE patch in Indonesia... It's most certainly a bootleg & is just a screen print. It's kinda cool though, I reckon. I also bought a bootleg NoMeansNo patch from some tiny little shop in a horrible mega-mall sort of place there... It was less than a dollar! I wish I could find legit pathes of both these bands, but these others will have to do for now ;)

Tell me about it.. I've seen some embroidered Regurgitate patches with the "new" logo, but nothing official so far. I'd settle for a cool screen print, though :P Let me know if you find another copy of that one, hahah.

Haha.... The idea of a metal stripper is pretty funny ;) I wouldn't be too surprised if it's been done somewhere/somehow. Probably not to something as extreme as CC, but maybe Metallica or something. Somehow I don't think it'd just be hair they'd be milling either :-X
I got the RGTE patch years ago and i happened to revisit the store last year hoping to see some more stuff, but sadly they weren't doing any screen patches. I think they'd changed owners. Funny thing was, when I bought it, they didn't even know the bands they were selling patches of! I had to physically point each one out, coz they didn't know which was which :P (I also got the ENT one that you can see on the from of my jacket at the same time)
