I actually got this shirt in 2009 right before the end of the year. My friend from Philly told me to check out Metal Haven, a large Chicago metal retail store. They originally opened in 1999 and by the Summer of 2010 they closed their doors. This was a 10 year anniversary shirt I picked up while I was there. As you can already see the "Altars of Metal" is a parody of "Altars of Madness." The photos there of the store are NOT MINE, but I figured I'd upload them to share with everyone how fucking sweet this place was. Anyone interested in buying any collectable vinyl, the owner still sells them on ebay at http://stores.ebay.com/METAL-HAVEN.
I'm friends with Mark, the guy that owned this store. He still sells online and at record shows where I'm going to see him tomorrow. RIP Metal Haven!!!
