Danzig shirt (original)

The date on this says 1994, but I swear I had it before that. Dates don't lie though. These were everywhere for awhile. You could buy Danzig shirts at the corner carryout in the aisle next to the Nirvana shirts. What an iconic shirt though. I really can't think of many metal shirts before this one where the band name or logo was not somewhere on the front in some way or another. Danzig was so badass at the time, you didn't need to read shit, you just needed to see the SamHain skull to know. Lessons Glenn clearly learned from the punk/hardcore school of marketing and design that simple is best. The easier it is for a 12 year old kid to draw on his schoolbook cover, the better. I tried, but mine always came out lopsided, even when traced it so I bought the shirt.
