Got the same shirt. Don't know why people bag on Hot Topic all the time.

I worked for a Hot Topic for a couple of years back a long time ago. It is all about trend. It truly is pretty horrible. When I worked there, we couldn't sell shirts with a pentagram or anything remotely "satanic". Now it's not so strict. But they always have carried a decent selection of truly badass shirts. I can't tell you how many shirts of Cradle of Filth, Immortal, Motorhead, Slayer, Overkill, Napalm Death, Nuclear Assault, etc I have purchased over the years from Hot Topic. All official, and all at a decent price. On the other hand, when I worked there, Slipknot, Limp Bizkit, System of a Down, Disturbed, and their ilk were all starting to get huge, and their merch was stinking up the place. Hot Topic started being less about music and all about Spongebob Squarepants, Transformers, Powerpuff Girls, bondage pants, rave and that type of stuff. They tried to make it a more "family friendly" store. Nowadays, the store almost strictly caters to the swoopy haired, skinny jeans wearing kids into Falling In Reverse, Iwrestledabearonce, etc. But yeah...you can still find quality shirts there if you look.

I wouldn't mind working at hot topic.
It's like a visit to the Museum of Teenage Pop Culture, except that the exhibits come to you instead of you having to go to them.
Would be interesting, to say the least.
