Yes I do haha. I don't know how bad it is in the Netherlands but here it's terrible...my generation doesn't even know music anymore. They listened to whatever is advertised as "the best thing" on the Top 40 stations and are oblivious. One kid at my school overheard me and a couple guys talking about Dark Side of the Moon and when he heard us say Pink Floyd, he thought we were referring to the pop singer P!nk. He was like, "I didn't know you guys listened to P!nk." and he wasn't joking either. Then there's a group of "metalheads" at are school too and one of the kids who's in my math class said his favorite death metal band was KoRn. He asked me who mine was and I told him Carcass and he said he never heard of them. I worry a lot for my generation. Who knows what the next one will be like. My girlfriend is into KoRn a bit and early Slipknot but at least she knows they're nu metal and not "death metal" as the kids at my school call them.
Hilarious: "so you guys are into Pink".. would loved to see your annoyed face hahaha.....It's not much better here i'm afraid....the average age at shows/ gigs is pretty high... it's a good sign in the sense that the older people stick to their guns... but it also means less young people go to shows.... sometimes i feel it's more a fashion thing these days as real passion for the music in general.... like: it's cool to look tough in my korn shirt... but when there's a metal band in town i don't show up ... no real dedication.....
nice 7" ..... and the best thing was that i got it for free hahaha ... can't even remember what i bought, but the seller was so kind to throw in this one as well.... that's a nice way of collecting vinyl hahaha
