Impaler's Wolves! Been looking for that one for a long time. Very nice selection you got here, reminds me to upload my own when I get the time. What's your favorite album?
By Graveland? Hmm.. Probably Creed of Iron.
P.S.
I got Impaler's Wolves from Forever Plagued. You can try getting it there yourself, if importing from the US isn't a problem for you (I don't know how all of that works in Iceland). http://www.foreverplaguedrecords.com/Store/tabid/62/txtSearch/Graveland/...
Thanks for the tip, that's a really nice price too! Icelandic mail is reliable but the customs office is one of the most corrupt black holes on the planet. Import taxes they assign are almost as high as the value of the item itself, and sometimes less sometimes more sometimes no tax at all depending on the weather/moods/pigs flying home. If your package is marked as a gift, they hold it and demand you to provide proof of its monetary value so they can slap their tax on it. Navigating that bureaucracy can cost a month sometimes. And your packages get opened w/o your consent. Value your American liberties, dudes.... FREEDOM ISN'T FREE
Cool, thanks! One day, one day we shall hoard the tapes as well... Those international shipping prices are murder, but thankfully I got some contacts in Germany who can lend me their address for this purpose.
Okay, so I must go back on my original answer to the question of my favorite album by Graveland. I originally said Creed Of Iron, but further listening has revealed that Fire Chariot Of Destruction is the superior work.
Just had to get that out. Carry on then.
I've also been exploring a bit more of Graveland. I suppose for now my favorite sound still has to be the 2000th year, with the material on Creed of Iron, and Raiders of Revenge. I have found that I like the later sound from titles like Spears of Heaven. With a sort of galloping charge pace, which I feel goes well with the muffled double bass featured in the later albums.
FCoD has "Dance of Axes and Swords", one of my top favorite Graveland songs. Whole album-wise for me it has been "Fire of Awakening", for being my introduction to Graveland when it came out. Some reviewer compared the riffs there to Einherjer, which made me want to seek it out. I don't entirely see a close resemblance, but the rest is history as they say. Lately "Dawn of Iron Blades" has made it to the top of my favorite pile as well. It's kind of unassuming and soft, yet absolutely ruthless and bloodthirsty - like its cover.
Really? The Forever Plagued re-press of this title is even stocked at Century media distro, but the first press is more elusive... especially after 2008 I think it was, when apparently the Big Brother police raided No Colors records office and confiscated most copies of Graveland's first 4-5 albums on charges of hate crime. (who's the real criminal here lol). In The Glare, Celtic Winter, Immortal Pride, and Following the Voice of Blood were among those seized.
My record store had a graveland cd, i think it was demo compilation, it looked like the first cd with tridents and skull in the middle, i was going to get it but i got the new ravencult cd instead, which i dont regret, but i hope its still there this week...
Sorry didnt mean to come off that way, just saying that i havent heard of it ever before and you or the other graveland collector dont have it, so i really dont know anything about it, aside that its the very first material by graveland. might be willing to trade it for a different graveland cd though.

It's in MCD(tape) format, but I did find a copy of Imapler's Wolves, if you are still looking for a copy.

If you are interested in other albums, I did find a burial mound load of Graveland in various formats at osmose productions:

Off topic, but a while back I had a fucked up dream about ordering a Graveland CD and it arrived in cassette format instead.

I had a similar experience. I ordered a Bathory album, and it arrived in LP format. XD
