Damn, just woke up to this sad news. Dio was a fucking legend. I'll never forget when he pointed right at me on the Heaven & Hell tour and chucked up the horns. He was definately one o the good guys, and one of the best (the best?) singer in metal.

This is all so wrong. I thought he was doing great against the stomagh cancer, and he had all these plans for upcoming tours. I thought I might get the chance to actually see Dio live either with the origional band or with Black Sabbath, or Heaven and Hell. I just wanted to see him.

This is shocking and terrible. Dio was truly my first taste of real heavy metal and I can't believe it's even true. I've been blasting the Last in Line and now am going to throw on some early Rainbow. He'll always live in my heart.

i know its so fucked up. there are certain people that you just cant fathom the possibility that theyll pass on and Dio was certainly one of them. I have been playing his stuff all day started with Rainbow and working my way up to his last album. But i know that Dio put his heart and soul into every song he performed so as long as the records continue to be played Dio will forever live and will never truly die, every time a new metalhead discovers Dio he will continue to live and every time someone flashes the metal horns Dio will continue to live.

i had the hang the pope shirt, but it got really badly ripped at an exodus show and was too shredded to wear so i had to bin it. i was heartbroken.
