At 46 I finally realized that I was missing this in my life. Been headbanging since 1980 and had collected some patches, but never got around to doing anything with them. Found this site and realized I needed to get my ass in gear and get my Kutte made. Bought the jacket off ebay from TX (where I grew up and went to my 1st concert). Some patches were given to me by some other metal friends, then went on a buying spree over the last month. Then been sewing them on like an obsessed Metal Head. I've got a couple of more on order, but this is pretty much the state of things as of June 2010. It will get it's public viewing at the M3 festival in Baltimore in 2 weeks. I know it is not trash, grind, black, punk, etc... BUT it is the shit I listen to.
11 Sep 2010 - Updated with new images. Have added a few patches, chains, junk and about 45 new buttons.
04 Oct 2010 - Added the Alice Cooper patch, Lynyrd Skynyrd patch, the front side Motorhead patch, Pink Floyd patch, the Kings X bottle opener.
10 Oct 2010 - Added the Roger Waters - The Wall pin.
14 Nov 2010 - Added Thin Lizzy, another Raven, Parental Advisory, another Judas Priest, Sammy Hagar, Kid Rock, Casket, Hearse, Skull patches. Added more studs and put all of the pins back on.
24 Apr 2011 - I've added Fastway, Ratt, Manowar, Metal Church, Rose Tattoo and Jetboy patches. Also a few more spikes/studs and buttons/pins. Took the Kid Rock off (for now) and replaced it with one of my favorite bands - Rose Tattoo. Thanks to Over-Zone for all of the new ones (except the Jetboy)
31 May 2011 - Added Ozzy, Hard Rock Cafe, UFO, Sabaton, Demon, Molly Hatchett. Moved the Kingdom Come and Rush. Also a few more various buttons, studs, spikes, "stuff". It is now pretty damn close to finished.
18 Oct 2011 - Saw Saxon on the 14th and 15th of October 2011. Had all 5 current members sign the backpatch.
25 Oct 2011 - Image from the 15th of October Saxon show in Baltimore of the 4 Saxon backpatches added.

Tight!!! but poison and cinderlla have to go
Adrian on
I agree on the Poison, but keep the Cinderella! Their first album is great!
ultmetal on
Cinderella are great! Listen to what you like bro., and ignore all the idiots that tell you what is and isn't "for posers".
Knightwhosayni on
Cinderella are great indeed. Most of the people who despise them just don't know their music IMHO. They rock as hell, in their own heavy blues/hard rock way. And there's even more to it. Certain marketing ways helped them a lot to be known, but also did them a big disservice prejudice-wise. But prejudice is what it is.
smashandthrash666 on
hhahhahahahahaaa
Rover133 on
Sorry but the Poison and CInderella are gonna stay. Granted as the kutte fills up I may end up taking off 1 of the Poison.
The Nazareth and White Lion (and about 15 others) came from the odd ball souvenir/t-shirt/junk store in Georgetown (basically downtown Washington D.C.). They are all knock off's. Not sure if they had more of either of them. They were only about $3 each. I can look the next time I'm there if you want me to snag them.
btw - the Saxon backpatch came Lenin Imports (lenin@netcomuk.co.uk) and the 3 squares on the front came from ebay - the seller is in AZ and I can dig up his email if you want.

I like it, its totally different. Good stuff. Love the Tesla one. I have the same Savatage one, my girlfriend got it for me when she was on holiday in Florida. Pain in the ass to sew on those shaped patches though.
memo on
NICEEEEE! I like the tesla and dokken patch, they look so good.
I dont know about poison, i didnt put any patch from them on my kutte but i have seen them live and they are a very good show, CC deville is one good guitar player.
I recommend only to take off the square patches in the front and put them in the back with the backpatch, and put more shape patches in front.
Good work man
Rover133 on
Thanks for all of the feedback. My plan is to add at least 4 or 5 square ones to the front to even it out. Then there is the space above the Priest and Saxon. I'm thinking of the Riot Fire Down Under cover above the Saxon. On the back will probably be mostly squares. I've got a nice Manowar that is on order but not yet arrived.
Rover133 on
Went and picked up another 36 studs (that was all the place had in stock) and 10 more spikes. So some new photos. I also added my US Navy collar device, I have the right to wear my anchor!!
Unless any of the 3 patches I have on order arrive this week - this is what it will be for the M3 festival next Saturday.

I came when i saw ur backpatch.

also i give u props for stating bout the bands u really believe in. i cant say i like every band u have on ur vest, but still, that takes balls, especially on a mainly thrash/death website

Kick ass Aerosmith Pin. I have one of those as well. Was lucky enough to catch Aerosmith on that tour. I thought that Crepo was outstanding. People hated him replacing Perry, but he was actually a great guitarist IMO. Rock in a Hard Place is a highly underrated album.
Rover133 on
I saw Aerosmith on that tour in San Antonio, TX in December 1982. Opening act was Rose Tattoo. Great show. Bought that pin then, now I have a great place for it. It may move down to next to the Get A Grip patch.
Also a slight update - I've added a Skid Row and another Motley Crue patch to the back. I've also ordered another 4 square album covers from the same guy in AZ that did the square Iron Maiden, Saxon, Exciter patches on the front. I won't tell you what those are until they are sewn on. And I'm still waiting on the smuck who sold me the Manowar patch to finally get it to me. He claims to have mailed it a couple of weeks ago. Glad I did not pay a bunch for it.
Rover133 on
Have added a few pins (Metallica, Saxon and another Sammy Hagar) that I found stuffed in a box. All are at least 20 years old.
Also added some new patches - Riot, Scorpions, Triumph, Y&T, AC/DC, Skid Row and another Motley Crue.
Rover133 on
Updated with some new images. Still waiting on 4 more patches that are on order, before I sew on the other 4 new ones. The Y&T Patch is signed by Dave Meniketti.
phoneyfresh on
Sweet dude. I like Elvis hidin' up there. You gotta give credit to the King. Like the way you hacked the sleeves off too, too many ppl trim 'em off nice and clean like. Lots of cool pins too- I'm always paranoid to wear pins cuz I think they'll fall off. I've actually lost alot of sweet vintage pins that way.
Knightwhosayni on
You gotta give him credit indeed. Nice move.

Nice Raven patches i been looking for it
but can't find an original one
Rover133 on
Uploaded new images of the current look. I've added 3 or 4 more patches since last month.
Hungry Mosher - The Raven patch that is on the front was given to me by a friend and I sewed it on prior to the Raven show. The other one I bought at the show, I've not sewn it on yet. My friend may have an extra if you want me to ask him.

mam one of the best jackets of the site, where you find the Maiden Japan patch??
Rover133 on
warkultbutcher@aol.com (aka THOMAS MANDILAS) - ensure you tell him where you got his contact info from.
This is the guy in Tempe, Arizona and made the Maiden Japan, Riot, Scorpions, Exciter, Triumph, Y&T, Saxon (on the front). They were fairly cheap to purchase and I'm happy with the quality.
whiteravenmetal on
man, thanks a lot, I'm thinking in do a Maiden vest, with a Seventh son of a Sevent son, backpatch, and a lot of Maiden pins, buttons, patches... etc

nice Y&T patch. those patches are rare. but im lovin the saxon denim and leather. but cinderella? there to hair metalish. but metal is metal. bad ass jacket \m/
Rover133 on
The Y&T is a printed patch a guy in Arizona made for me. It is signed by Dave Meniketti. For me Cinderella is more blues rock than hair metal. Saw them last year and they still put on a great show.
crooked_cross666 on
thats pretty cool i like Y&T. and i never thought of cinderelle like that. i just never liked them
Rover133 on
Cinderella is worth going back for another listen. The stuff that did not make the radio is probably their best stuff.
crooked_cross666 on
sure i'll give em a try but they still wont have nothing on poison as far as hair metal goes though.

Wicked backpatch! And cool Maiden Japan patch!
Denim and leather!
thrashbabe85 on
Kid Rock? Really? Oh well, the rest of it makes up for that. Especially the Girlschool patch!
Rover133 on
Yep Kid Rock. One of those non-traditional metal acts that I enjoy. He is getting more and more classic rock sounding (Eagles, Bob Seger) with little to no rap stuff. Thanks for recognizing the rest of the metal on there.
memo on
I like much more his first stuff....
if he keeps getting softer he is gonna end like bon jovi...

24 April 2011 - Image update. Added patches for: Blue Oyster Cult, Fastway, Ratt, Manowar, Metal Church and Jetboy.
