Bulldozer D.I.Y. patches (Grave, Carnage, Bathory yellow goat, etc)

The Bathory 1984 self titled debut yellow goat back patch was done without a stencil. I know that the logo is supposed to be white and the yellow goat a bit bigger (overlapping the Bathory logo by a little bit) but I like it the way it is. I did that one n three hours while listening to "The Return..." (Bathory's best in my opinion) over and over again. The rest of the patches where done using hand made stencils. Some of the patches are old ones from my other jacket and some are new. Enjoy!

The bottom is me the creator of these patches. Now you all know who is behind this stuff.

Only a 4/5 since I think it needs more. 5/5 if based only on the DIY work. Great stuff.

Very cool man! I was going to try and make a DIY patch or 2, what kind of paint/ fabric do you reccomend?

For the idea behind the fabric, I would recommend getting a thick and semi-rough feeling fabric.. Remember, do not use fabric that is too thick and/or too rough because using such fabric will indefinitely make the outline from the stencil look scribbled. For an appropriate example of the aforementioned thick and semi-rough fabric, I purchased 1/3 of a yard of thick and semi-rough yellow fabric at my town’s local Jo Ann Fabrics to make the Bathory back patch. I only spent a total of $1.37 but I did not use the entire length of fabric. The intention behind the purchasing of the yellow fabric was because I wanted the yellow to look sharply intense and just like an actual patch. I just had to paint the surrounding parts black. I also used a paint marker with a super thin tip to smooth out the old English letters. In terms of “edge perfection and sharpness“, black ball point pens work very well. When it revolves around the use of paints, I use model paints (Revell and Testors are good examples if you have a local hobby store that caries model supplies) and Elmer's Painters Paint Markers. The Elmer’s Painters Paint Markers are used to touch up the logos and make them look nice with the addition of a sharp looking exterior. There types of Elmer's Painters Paint Markers are all over the place. You can buy them in packs or buy them separately. Even if you don't own an airbrush kit or have complete access to one, you can always use the trusty old paint brush. If you are going to wear you. Acrylics are fine but use acrylics designed for heavy projects like models and design work (Revell and Testors). Most other acyclic types and brands are designed for canvas, wood, or house decor projects and They do not hold up well due to the elements of nature when it comes to patch making. As far as stencils go, I use plain old poster board. The key thing is that if you want a really good patch then you need to study the album cover or logo very carefully for every little detail to exact precision Always take your time and take heed to the fact that patience brings forth the manifestation of perfection. Below are some links to the aforementioned paints. I hope this was helpful and thanks for the comment.
