Along with the Thyrfing one, probably my most favorite shirt. Been through a lot together, and this one gets the closet hanger privilege as opposed to being stored folded.
Which album or song(s) do you find yourself listening to the most? If I were to choose, I would call "The Edge" their most quintessential song, while "Land" their highest album achievement so far...not a big fan of the last two ("Northern Gate" song being an exception, but it is so Blind Guardianish that it's impossible to dislike!)
Thanks! and there aren't so many folks here with Norse references in their screennames either :-) I may actually have done something to that extent with mine if I'd known the site supports non-English letters when I was registering, but anyway it is refreshing to catch the Eddic reference in yours, cheers.
That poem is rare for its mention of female berserkrs, and some other mythological details that are found only there.. Many layers of meaning to it, not the least of course is simply the comedy factor. Thor's such a folk hero they didn't hesitate to poke fun at him - compare that to some people in neo-heathenism today who get so butthurt over this that they start blaming the 'evil Christian authors' for 'perverting' and mocking these characters.
