I love the mix-matching between eras on these old Type O shirts. Here's an October Rust shirt using Bloody Kisses-era photography, while the reissue of the Black No. 1 shirt uses the same format with October Rust photos! Their merchandising fascinates me.

I'm wondering what was their thought process for doing that between the photographies, it's really fascinating !

You could write a book on the variations between Type O Negative designs; it was almost like a "Collect Them All" mentality, with different colors, and different back prints. Their designs are so nuanced. My quest right now is for the Christian Woman with the red, yellow, and orange back print (again, theories abound as to why it exists, but Peter probably took the answer with him). I'm very lucky to own a couple originals of it, but both have the standard green and white back print.

I hope you'll going to achieve your quest my friend, that's a sick idea, love it !
But yeah, that's really fascinating to try to solve some "mysteries" around our Green Man.
For the colors I tried to check if, by any chance it was related to NYC flag, but nope.
Tried as well with anything related to construction, building or anything like that, all I found was a website talking about markings on sidewalks with its signification for the colors used so I'm not sure that's a lead haha
