Peste Noire - Le Dernier Putsch
Well, what can I say. I got this when I was drunk.
As much as I love the band, I still don't really get why this shirt appealed to me, even when intoxicated. The front looks pretty much like some edgy video game marketed towards pubescent boys.
I personally find that this whole hare brained, chest beating thug mentality Peste Noire is starting to adopt is getting a bit cringeworthy. Never the less I still think they are by far one of the more interesting bands of the modern black metal scene.
Oh well, one more for the collection I guess.

It's one thing to act evil and scary for the theatrics but doing it with the hopes that people will actually take you seriously is kida pathetic and seems to be desperately asking for trouble. Right and left wing activism in Metal is such a bore.

That's why I love Peste Noire. They've always seemed more keen to fuck with the pretenses of both the left and right side of things more so than making a definitive political statement of their own. But I see them turning more towards wannabe suburban militia leanings, and yeah, It's a bit embarrassing to be honest.

I am a bit wishy-washy on that point. I still think they make great music. It's the whole hoodrat gangster image Famine's been picking up lately that turn's me off.
