Great shirt. Too bad the support acts for Mayhem are so weak on this tour.

Definitely not the greatest live band! cool shirt, but it reminds me too much of Watain and Archgoat designs

At least they didnt soil themselves infront of you like when i saw them. Going by my experience they were the most dissapointing live band ive ever seen. I still give De mysteriis...a listen sometimes, but mayhem are dead to me pretty much. I think i threw away my mayhem shirt.
Liberator on
I saw them for the first time in Toronto. They were fucking awesome.Great shirt.
Tormentor on
Mayhem should never have continued after the Death of Euronymous. Their releases are testament to that, as everything after De Mysteriis has been piss poor! However, the shirt looks cool, although more akin to a Watain shirt, IMO.

+1 and why do they keep touring the states with such shit bands? C'mon, Immortal came with Absu, hell even dimmu borgir at least came with Skeletonwitch! Who does mayhem bring? Cattle Decapitation, cephalic carnage, Abigail Williams??? What the fuck, does mayhem not want any good bands because they know they will be outdone?
Imo, when marduk cancelled in 2008 touring the usa with mayhem, i think it could've been on purpose, after all look what happened, the other bands on the tour ran out of money because mayhem kept it all and they all went home.
And when marduk did come in 2009, they had a great line-up! Mantic Ritual, Merrimack, even nachtmystium who i dont like but is still better than abigail williams.
Shit, Dark Funeral are coming with abigail williams, but at least they are bringing Inquisition!
At least Mayhem brought Hate from poland...

I agree. If they called it quits after the death of Euronymous, they would be seen as black metal legends. Instead, most people see them today as a joke, seemingly trying to milk their former success for all its worth. More than half of their setlist was material from their first couple releases. Some bands really don't know when enough is enough.
I'm glad I was able to see them though. It was a really energetic show so I can't complain too much, and the openers weren't all bad. Not sure if I'd see them again.

Live they are terrible, especially when it comes to Hellhammers drum sound! First time I saw em was in 97 when they just got back together. At the time Inthought it was a good gig, but, i remember thinking how they ruined the De mysteriis tracks, the ones that they could play back then, they were devoid of any dark feeling or atmosphere. People will still flock to see em, simply because of the 20+ year old controversy that will always be the main interest in the band, rather than good music.

Very good stuff!
