Yup..there it is. I put a cardboard record backer in the bag with mine so the corners of the sheet dont bend over. I, too, thought this came with an actual sleeve.
LaUlvenDrepe on
Yeah, I was very disappointed with that myself. But hey it has two sleeves at least... the strong one for the actual LP, and a regular outer sleeve to hold everything up together. That's good enough, I suppose. It would have been a hell of a lot better if they had gone all the way and made a strong cardboard outer cover... it's a 180 gram record for fuck's sake. It not only deserves it, it NEEDS it, those things are heavy.
But anyway, all the disappointment quickly melted away once I played the damn thing! What a blast! Plus I got to watch Tchort spin around, haha. That was mesmerizing... O_o
In fact, the last picture posted up here is my current desktop background :D

Yeah, I cant complain either. Im just glad to own this. Only 500 made. Now there are only 498 left for all the Emperor Hordes to fight over :)
LaUlvenDrepe on
As far as anywhere there is information of the demo on the internet is concerned... it's Tchort who appeared on the cover of the Wild Rags version of the demo, not Ihsahn.
Now, why would you assume I'm not happy that I have this? When did I say that? You are taking things way out of context. In fact I'm very happy with this purchase, it's just that yeah... a 180 gram vinyl is more durable, but to put it with a regular sheet of PAPER (not even flimsy cardboard) isn't very smart. It's more like half-assing it. That's all I was saying, and it is true. I think it would have been a perfect release if it hard a regular outer cover, but I'm not exactly complaining because I don't care enough about this issue to do so. What matters most to me is the music.

Nope. This one has a cover. A shitty cover, but a cover nonetheless. So it's going to be played again and again... hehehe.

Oh wow^^^^ sorry about that man

You know... that's the second time somebody asks me about the quality of the picture discs sound... how odd. I find it interesting because although I haven't played many picture discs, I've never really noticed a difference. *As far as I can remember (I might be wrong), out of all the Pic discs I have, I've only played Taake's Hordaland Doedskvad (I have one of the first 300, which came with a cover, which is why I play it) and this one... Wrath of the Tyrant. I don't have anything to compare the Emperor one to (I don't have a regular vinyl version), but I also have the Taake album on splatter vinyl... it's scratched so it has been retired to my wall... but before the scratches begin around the second song, it sounds exactly the same as on the Pic disc. They both sounded great to me.
I guess this isn't enough experience to weigh in on the matter, but so far so good on my end!

Agreed... I prefer regular vinyl. I didn't know that Pic discs were such a toss up though... mmhm. I'm glad I rarely buy them.

I was told something similar, that mostly older ones sounded significantly worse than their regular counterparts, while newer ones were alright. The owner of one of the local metal shops, who's been on the business probably since before i was born suggested something like this, if i remember correctly, maybe the manufacturing process back then wasn't so developed.
LaUlvenDrepe on
Haha, my Autopsy and Gorgoroth Picture discs probably sound like crap then :/
Man I'm glad I have the regular vinyl editions of those.

My Emperor "Emperial Live Ceremony" pic disc doesn't sound very good. It might be dusty as I bought it used. My Summoning pic discs sound awesome, as well as all the other pd's I have.
LaUlvenDrepe on
That's really odd. I guess they sound like a real hit and miss. Well, as I mentioned... I'm glad I don't buy them too often.

And here are your five flames man, what an amazing debut!
