Iron Maiden Two original virus patches? Or No?

Here are Two of the same virus patch. But yet there are small diffrences. But Both are original. This is something I have wondered for a while and never gotten a answer to

Very interesting. 🤔 I've compared your patches with the one that I have and that is the left one. When really looking🧐 at the details in your pictures there are quite some differences between the two. Overall, the left patch is much more refined than the patch on the left. For example, the electricity coming out of Eddies Head (the dotted lines) have a much better resolution than on the right patch. Also the texture on the face of Eddie, as well as the colors.
I'm not aware whether there is a bootleg of this patch. I'm relatively new to the scene, so maybe guys like Looking into the Darkness, Deadmoon, and Bad_American1992 can comment. If there is a bootleg, I dare to say it's the right one.

You are here at the right place to find out. Many die-hard and long time patch collectors here, who are also not shy to tell the truth about patches 😄 I'm also curious to find it out now, because it's important for fellow collectors to know how to identify bootlegs from the real deal, especially when the bootlegger had the audacity to shamelessly keep the licensing in the design.

Hahahaha You are indeed right! Its a interesting topic. It might even be that both are real but it was two different runs of presses

I personally don’t think either are bootlegs just different runs given the very small design differences, great patches though! Got one on my maiden vest

I love the top one, a lot of care went into contouring eddies face stitching, the colors are more distinct too. I've always loved this patch but don't have it yet, I'm gonna keep my eyes peeled for this particular version for a future purchase =J

The other virus patch reminds me of two different Immortal Pure Holocaust patches, the one from china had stitching similar to this but ended up being good at one thing (like hair,) and just not look good for faces, I forget where the other came from/who it's made by, but it was circular, and the stitching was very uniform.
