maybe? Haha really these were just an experiment but now people are saying I'm ok at logos, so maybe I will continue to try and do more. What would the t shirt slayer one look like? Or do I just come up with an idea and post it somewhere?

Cheers! Maybe I can make some more to put up that look more like classic metal or thrash metal. I did a commission recently, but everyone who asks me to try their band logo, only does it for Black Metal....which Is fine I guess haha, it's the technique I use the most and I do like black metal.

Hey cheers! At first, just for fun...but now I think I am getting good at it....I will have a few more up, from time to time if possible though my scanner has become crappy :/! I've seen a few other people make logos, so I just thought it would be good to show mine!

Thanks, working more no to push some boundaries and come up with new ideas....but mainly other focuses in life,when I can though I might put up a few more.

Yeah as I said, mainly just drawing on paper with pen or pencil and then I scan it onto photoshop....but my photoshop is fucked, so for now...maybe I could use windows paint or something. Anyways, then after I scanned it onto photoshop, I just use the layers to clean up any rough parts and fill in the solid inks and then I put color on it if the requester wants me to make it red or something.When the logo is clean enough, what I usually do is delete all the space behind it in order to give the edges a sharper look.

I think some people tend to work with vectors or use Adobe Illustrator, but I find photoshop is faster and more convenient. I am able to switch between .PSD (changeable work files) to final jpg's relatively fast. I'm not sure where you could download photoshop, but for example I found someone via craigs list who had a copy of Adobe Photoshop CS3 and then I got a copy of it for a disk. I also paid for an older version of photoshop, but for some reason it only works on my windows millenium, but now I have all my art stuff shifted over to my Windows 7. Also...I would recommend if you have the money, look into Apple computers, it is better for media and visual arts software, but I don't have any more money for another computer and I split the pay for my new art set up with my parent who covered part of it as a gift for completing animation several years ago.

Thanks. Yeah that's my buddy Adam's stuff, he improved on most of it recently and put it up on sound cloud, but I have no link to that atm.....he likes to re write a lot of his material over and over....

but anyways, I've done some more logo's recently and a few paid commissions, so I guess I'm sort of good at this now.I've taken a break though, working on some other stuff, new jerb troubles, got a woman to focus on,courses, etc....but I'm definitely going to put up a few more...and a really great set of thrash logo's....well...good I should say, we'll see if people think they are great.

I was going to edit this entire post, add in a few more I recently made including my last commission I ever did.....I was also going to remove some of the first ones, but then I realized it's better to leave them in, because it shows the progression of my skills....anyways. The "Brotherhood" pieces are put up as a teaser, they are not finalized but will be soon, at which point I will delete the roughs and put up the finalized versions

These are just rough copies that are now in the final process of being cleaned up, lines adjusted and inked. I like to add a negative and a positive to expose any flaws, before finalizing my line work.

It’s a bit Graveland inspired, I always wanted the way the word to look in the middle, appeal as a sort of crest that resembles oak and a solar dial…but in an interesting turn of events, it also came across as a sort of Shield like design, therefore possibly relating to the warrior mentality and brotherhood aspect of the proposed music

This is but merely a concept design for a band that doesn’t even exist, that I’m aware of. However, it was a fun experimentation.

My original design for the ‘B’and ‘D’ letters, was to have the bottom tip of their typography morph into a kind of druid/pagan staff, but being that I began to feel that didn’t relate to the music, I instead drew them out to be double bladed battle axes with raw hide braiding.

The T and the H in “Brotherhood”, are both represented by branch emblems, similar to that of Scandinavian hook totems, my key issue turn to be that I couldn’t shift the shape of the branch to resemble the letter ‘H’ without distorting the logo’s overall balance, instead I have hopefully let the typography’s design spell out what it is, while I struggled to find a way over this design flaw..I now feel it is the one element that ties the middle of the logo together, so I kept it.
