Been chipping away on my first vest for almost 2 years now and with the summer festival season behind us I guess it is time to post an update. Still carries on the same theme: Monochrome design, no genre limits, stitching done with thread color opposite to the patch border color, officials and bootlegs.
On my first post I mention that I'll do the front layout as I go. Welp, turns out Im too much of a perfectionist for that and I needed a concrete plan. And to top it off I noticed that every type of vest/jacket I dig (minimal, german style, crusty, with a specific theme, whatever) is always symmetric to some level. So I did the only reasonable thing: I stripped a good chunk of the front, rearranged and have been sewing it back together slowly now in symmetric fashion. Glad Im in no hurry to get it covered.
Some useless facts:
- Patches from 46 bands, 24 of which I've seen live and 3 that don't perform live at all
- It's been worn to 4 festivals and dozens of standalone gigs
- Complete pain in the ass to find b/w patches that fit the symmetric aesthetic
- Will never rework the pocket area again

Back side looks great! Can't say anything about the front as it's still a heavy work in progress, but it looks good so far!
