Anthrax Battle jacket made for my girlfriend

I made this jacket for my girlfriend for a Christmas gift this year. Her favorite band is marilyn manson hence the tribute on the back, this jacket is all about her favorite bands. Some vintage and rare some not. Spaces are left open in case she wants to add more or change things but majority is done. Worked very hard on this, hand sewn and studs put in myself.

Marilyn manson backshape in purple I had custom made.

Sleeves are removable as is the hood. Hope she likes it!

Not for sale or trade

Thank you! The jacket brand is called XX RUDE, they sell jackets with removable hoodies and sleeves really cool I wish I made my battle jacket with one of those instead of Levi's.

Oh and if anybody knows how to make removable and attachable sleeves with a regular jacket like Levi's let me know would love to do it with mine

For sleeves the easiest way is to use zippers. You buy enough to cover the sleeve opening and sew one part of the zipper on the sleeve and the other on the jacket itself. It's a pretty tedious work but worth it in the end. You can make it either invisible on the inside or visible so when detached, you may see the silver teeth of the zipper.
You can make yourself a simple removable hood by sewing 3 buttons on the inside of your jacket's collar and making a counterpart hood with 3 button holes. You can even add a bit of material inbetween so the hood is roomier and able to go over an existing collar a bit easier. You can also switch it up and use that additional material for button holes and leave buttons on the hood for comfort. The easiest way to start is to recycle an old hoodie of your choice. Those ordinary buttons can also be substituted by push buttons/snaps.

BTW: Full flames for the jacket. I especially like the symmetry of the back and the simplicity of the front's upper half part. I always liked that graphic/photo on the backpatch. I bet it's gonna make a great gift.

  • I think you’re right to be honest. I have seen this with various euro shirts now that you mention it.
  • Are you sure this is Winterland? To me it looks like another form of an Euro Tag with no specific manufacturer.
  • Are you sure the new version of the MKC is a rerun? It screams bootleg to me...
  • If I ever get one it has to be one of those without the green thread in the letters.
  • Not sure as I bought it pretty recently.
