That was the reason I refused to listen to them or Burzum. But that really limited what black metal I could listen to. Then one day I gave my last give-a-fuck away and realized 9/10's of everyone I meet in life will have no idea who this band is or not even know it's a band shirt.

There's stuff I simply refuse to listen to (e. g. Legion of Doom), but I feel the same way you do about Kroda's Fimbulvinter, which is an album I love. Here's where I stand on albums like this and the one I just mentioned: I'd seriously consider buying them, but only on Discogs from an average, everyday metalhead who doesn't subscribe to the most radical political/racial ideologies. I refuse to give direct financial support to those types.

6 years latter update. I realize how to tell the story of black metal in a short manner. It's just god awful and fucked up end of story. KPN fucked up so bad they're shadow banned here. I 99.9% don't agree with black metal when the music stops, but it's fucking asd sinister as it gets. That's why I enjoy it.
