Ahh the memories, got the same, think i bought it from Freddie : )=

Yeah the good old times... Been tape trading & writing with Johnny back then. One had to put ALOT more effort to get anything, instead just a few mouse clicks. And meeting someone with a cool bandshirt was like meeting a brother. Good times!

I know perfectly what you mean, i was lucky to live here in Stockholm, at least when it comes to early death metal.
But you live in the home of early thrash and speed metal : )=
Der Todesking on
Yeah, which was cool too. But apparently, I never been that close friend with great bands like you. You must have had GREAT times there! You're one lucky guy to have been INSIDE the early Stockholm DM scene that much. Still you remained a chilled cool guy, instead of being the "cool guy that has been friends with DM legends", if you know what I mean. I really enjoyed the old pics you uploaded with Pelle, & the Dismember, Unleashed, Merciless guys! Cheers! ;-)

Haha! Thanks mate : )= but i must say I'm a bit proud....
I love old pictures from back in the days, and its so cool to share it with people who where thrashers at the same time, and the younger generation as well!
Der Todesking on
Of course! Thats not what I meant! But you know, there are guys that claim to have known Pelle & explaining everyone how he really was & stuff! Whats cool is that memories stay. Nobody can take the fuck em away! And youre welcome! Hehe!

I have to give my 2 cents to this topic, as it quite moves me. Although i am part of a younger generation and sadly did not live at that time, i am pretty sure i can totally relate to this feeling. On another Level it was the same for me. When i started listening to Metal of more extreme Sorts (mainly Black Metal back then), i did not know anything about it and noone presented it to me. My way to go was searching through reviews Online and magazines for hours, days and nights. I spent an absurdly long time doing this, because i wanted to discover more and more. Actually it was too much time considering the duties i had as a pupil. This way little by little i became "famous" among my friends for knowing alot about Bands, Records and so on.
Today it is so much easier and that's because of all these "Blogs" that exist. You just type in Bandname, Album and "blogspot" and within 3 minutes You have everything. Back then i used the Program Soulseek, where You could basically only download Albums if You had good contacts.
So - in all respect for that past age of Tapetrading and personal contacts - i can relate in a way. Reviews and Soulseek were my Tapetrading.
