ok...so UNDERDOG is not a metal band per se...but if you aren't familiar w/ vocalist Richie Birkenhead's followup act INTO ANOTHER, then you are truly missing out on one of the true forward-thinking Underground Metal bands of the mid-'90s. I always say to start with the album 'Ignaurus' (1994)...the late Tony Bono (of thrash legends Whiplash) was jaw-droppingly skillful on that disc - and the entire band was far-reaching in their skills and imaginings of metal's (potential) future.
Into Another ruled, and Underdog was no mere stepping stone.
