Thanks! I've been thinking for a long time now about starting my own "productions", and making limited quanities of some merch, maybe releasing couple of records along. :)

Stiopa's picture

First time heard about these guys, typical Heavy Metal from Sweden, which means good music, but this print is really profesional, good job, man.

Kuivausrumpu's picture

Thanks, that means lot to me!

Wow, really nice stuff, I love the colours, good printing!

Thank you, the Overdrive guys fell in love with it during Muskelrock - So it's going to be official merchandise soon :)!! They actually have a picture of me in their facebook profile wearing this shirt, haha!

Syrinx 2112's picture

They played a great set!
Ghaha, and cool picture. Super awesome that they'll use this print, you must be pretty proud!

For once in a lifetime - I didn't feel like fanboy, I felt they were my fanboys for the rest of the festival, since they showed their setlist before their gig and asked If I'd like to make any changes and all the time shouting "Come here" and stuff like that since our buses were next to the artist buses! I think I saw you somewhere in Muskelrock :D

5
Syrinx 2112's picture

Haha, that's absolutely awesome. True worship right there. Good thing they didn't follow you around the festival or asked for autograps, that might have been a bridge too far. Still, it's way cool you'll get the credits for their new merchandise and they asked your input for the setlist. I might have been strolling around somewhere, under the influence of alchool ;)
Anyways, I had a blast, I'm definitely going again next year!

Kuivausrumpu's picture

I'm definetly coming next year too and yes, this year was just a total blast, had way too much fun! Yeah, actually now I remember something - You are Lauras, Elisabettas and Lidias friend, right?

5
Syrinx 2112's picture

Muskelrock has (surprisingly) become my new favourite festival.
Well yeah, they're more acquaintances but I know them, sure ;)

5
Kuivausrumpu's picture

Haha, that's what I thought. Yeah it became also my favourite, the whole trip to muskelrock including cruise from helsinki to stockholm was pure awesomeness - I mean 30 metalheads from Finland destroying the discofloor?! Hilarious. ...And the whole festival felt almost like a some hallucinative trip or something since nothing felt real. It was just sooo unrealistic. Let's hope that next year will be as awesome as this years one, I'm already begging for next years band announcements.

5
Syrinx 2112's picture

Haha, in most cases the trip to the festival is kind of like a big pre-party. We did a roadtrip all the way from Belgium. In total 14 hours from and 14 hours back, good thing we all brought our music on SD card. But fuck, 30 Finnish metalheads on a cruise totally tops that! Muskelrock was just like this timemachine back to the 60s/70s/80s. Was really unrealistic indeed. I actually felt bad I had missed the previous editons. Last year was with a secret line-up. Turned up very cool too so I'm sure next year will be equally good or even better! But like you say, can't wait for the announcements.

5
Kuivausrumpu's picture

Yeah, our trip to Muskelrock was kinda intense, we came from Stockholm to Alvesta by a touring bus, which had been used for touring by Nifelheim etc. it had like everything - from playstation 2 to fridge and beds, total luxury. ...Well it was luxury until everybody started puking the morning after due having too much fun on the cruise. I had actually plans to go to the 2013 edition, but missed it due lack of money. I knew the line-up was going to be insane, and so it was. I was wondering since you're heading to Hell's Pleasure and HOA, are you by any chance gonna go to the King Diamond club gig in Berlin like 2 days after the HOA?

5
Syrinx 2112's picture

Wooow, that's sick! Talking about arriving in style, in a tourbus used by Nifelheim, haha. What an experience. Too bad not a lot of people couldn't hold their alcohol. I still hope you had some enjoyment from that 'luxury'. Same here, I didn't have enough money to go in 2013 but I'll be saving up for next year.
Well, sad thing is, I had to cancel Metal Magic and Hell's Pleasure. I'm working this student job and as a student I'm not entitled to days off so I can't go anymore. I'm really bummed about that but yeah. I'll definitely be at HOA though. And about King Diamond. I'm already seeing them on their tourdate in Tilburg, two days after Berlin but it never hurts seeing them twice on their tour so I'll take a look at my budget and try to work something out. But they also have a date in Finland right?

5
Kuivausrumpu's picture

I enjoyed it more than enough, but it was horrible to wake up every day at 8 due to the burning heat on the bus. I found it quite weird that the weather forecast were promising shitty weather for the whole festival, but luckily it was warm/hot! :)
Yeah, they got a date in Jalometalli at Oulu, which is in northern part of Finland. Gonna go there too because Loudness is first time in Finland at that fest along with other great acts such as Dark Angel, Ranger ! I was thinking about going to Stockholm to see King Diamond even before the finland's gig, but realised later that it was at the same time as HOA, so yeah. About the student job thingy - aww snap :/ Too bad. Well I didn't have the money for Metal Magic anyways and this years lineup wasn't really that important to me apart the Dark Quarterer and Portrait. I've seen both Inquisition and Aura Noir 2times and both of them 5weeks ago at Steelfest.
A must to ask question: Are you familiar with band called Sarcofagus? You seem to be a person who could enjoy them!

5
Syrinx 2112's picture

Oh yeah, I went to sleep at like 5am every morning so I could sleep only 4 hours maximum because the tents were burning up as well. It was quite warm indeed, good thing we could swin in the lake to cool off!
Wow, Loudness, super awesome, I've never seen them perform live though. Well HOA gets priority above all else. Metal Magic was interesting for me mainly for Solstice, Dark Quarterer, Horisont and yeah, Inquisition. But yeah, you've seen them plenty of time already. I'll be seeing Portrait 2 times together with Bölzer and Primordial in Germany so that's something to look forward to.
Unfortunately, I've never heard of Sarcofagus before. I looked it up and I believe you're referring to the Finnish band? I'll definitely listen to their material if you recommend them.

5
Kuivausrumpu's picture

Yeah, the lake was really a lifesaviour. Remember waking up at 8am and heading straight to the lake for a swim, bath and some tanning, haha. Loved it.
Oh, didn't even notice the Solstice logo on the poster at first time, they are great for sure. Shit, I personally don't give a shit about Primordial, but Bölzer is the way to go, loved the Aura MLP from the very beginning. ...And yet I still don't own it, haha.
Yes, I'm totally referring to the finnish band!!!!!!! Since most of the finnish heavy metal sucks really badly, Sarcofagus on the other hand is totally different _way too awesome_ approach to heavy metal. It's something that makes me really proud to be finnish, haha. I think they really have their own sound, which no one has yet copied?! Check this one out, for an example -

It felt more like a vacation than a festival haha. Free washing was a perk as well.
Haha, Primordial is a take it or leave it band I guess. But Bölzer's Aura is soooooo sick!!! That reminds me, still need to get it as well, my wantlist keeps getting bigger and bigger.
Sarcofagus is incredibly neat. Wooow, it's weird that I hadn't come across this before. They have this really unique, one of a kind, oldschool sound. Even the guitar sound is special. I gave that first album a try as well, Cycle of Life, wow, mindblowing! Their newer material is a bit different from the old though, change of style much?
Thanks for mentioning them! You have every right to be proud to be Finnish, thanks to this. As am I to be Belgian because of Acid and Ostrogoth.
Duuuude, Hawkwind is headlining at Hell's Pleasure, I'll really be missing out on a lot!!!

5
Kuivausrumpu's picture

Yeah, Aura is absolutely mindblowing.. It's just sick.
Sarcofagus did change a bit their style later, but not much. But yes, the first two albums are total classics. I think the third album was trying to be maybe more commercial or something like that, but I do enjoy the "Moottorilinnut" record also.
Oh yes, belgian heavy metal is amazing.. I actually did awhile back myself a ostrogoth full moons eyes backpatch, with 2colored print 8) It came somewhat ugly, due I suck with sewing machine, but yeh. One of my favourite EP:s ever.
Yeah I'm totally waiting for the Hawkwind gig, it was a fantastic add to the already-so-great lineup. - I'M GONNA HAVE SUM FUN! You should consider just getting fired, just because of Hell's Pleasure got to be worth it! Imagine the last Hell's Pleasure ever :(

5
Syrinx 2112's picture

Very much looking forward to see them live soon.
And Sarcofagus has become my ear's most returning customer, really special and pure heavy metal! Still have to start listening to their third album though, I've been so busy with their first two.
Woooow, you made a Full Moon's Eyes backpatch, I know a bunch of people who would kill for that. Seeing a lot of Ostrogoth shirts lately, makes me even more proud.
Hawkwind is like the finishing touch, too bad Death SS cancelled though. I've heard they're having problems with their line-up, hopefully it'll be resolved before HOA but I fear the worst.
To be honest, I couldn't care less about my work but I really need the money, broke as hell so I'll need to sit this one out, however painful it is. Enjoy though!!!

5
Kuivausrumpu's picture

Thanks! Well yeah, Sarcofagus is really something special, if they'd be swedish they would probably be more famous no doubt, haha.
I think Death SS has resolved their problems, but needed time to practice songs with a new member? Well glad they found Sadistic Intent to replace Death SS, they have really intense live performances. 2x Death SS sounded so unbelievable.... No wonder why they cancelled the other one, now I'm just super excited to see them even once!
Well money is always needed!

Syrinx 2112's picture

Hahahaha, I guess so yeah. It's a bit sad that they're more "underrated" but I enjoy discovering rather infamous bands, so thanks to you for mentionning them.
Right, it was something like that, I'm really excited for HOA then!
I didn't know about Sadistic Intent (I try not to pick up Hell's Pleasure news to prevent myself from feeling even more bumped) but cool, enjoy them as well!
Fuck, suuuper rad, so much praise and already taking them along on their tour, I'm thinking of reserving one. ;)

5
Stiopa's picture

Hell!, congrats man, it must feel incredible when a band approves their fan's work!

(Other thing that many times fan's bootlegs looks way better than original stuff, so good thing this goes official!)

5
Kuivausrumpu's picture

Thanks, I'm really honoured by your kind words! I'm certainly super happy about it! I'm kinda like the worst cameraman ever, but this one looks really cool live.
