Not really metal but I found it in the back of my closet and remembered to story behind it wich I liked. Motherside of my family is christian (Jehovah's wittness to be exact) and when I stayed there we had to go to one of theyre twisted cultmeetings. But I was wearing my Iron Maiden shirt and Slayer Hoodie, which is superduperbad and satanic and I had to change clothes. But I didn't bring any "normal" clothes so before we went to the church she said: here take this plain red hoodie put it on and just go. Being pissed I was forced to not being myself I took an marker and draw those baphomet logo's on it so I still could be satanic to church. Nothing but an Permanent marker, dinnerplate and one of those measering thingy's which I don't know the translation from. We dutchy's call it liniaal. definitly not the best DIY and not metal but I liked the story.
I could kind of relate, I guess. I wear shirts with pentagrams but that's because I love the artwork/music and because it comes that way...I wouldn't actually draw a pentagram or anything on...Except for this on time I put "R.I.P." on Dimebag's forehead.
That's the fun thing about Jehovah's (at least the churchcommunity my family is a part of, can't speak for every JW ofcourse) they stay super polite to newcomerseven if they hate you. If let's say my aunt who is a devout JW and goest there for 30+ would come in with an Mayhem shirt they would be mad and tell her she isn't an good christian, might even excomunicate her. BUt me as an non-jehovah they accept even if I wore corpsepaint and an Please fuck my Jesus shirt. Because they hope by being nice I will become one of them. But I know I irritate them.
It's true man, when youre one of them they don't hesitate to tell you how to behave before the eyes of god, but to me as an outsider who visits so now and then (maybe 5 times a year or so)it's always like: Hi! nice youre here again? And how do you like our faith and our community? DO you like Jehovah's witness faith? andI always did things like wear corpsepaint inspired eyeliner or this with the hoodie or something. Out of boredom I always draw there btw and they always give me compliments on my drawings (wich are satanic since I wanna provoke) and stuff while I know they hate me. Just see it in theyre eyes hahahah.
as i was a kid, one of my best friend was also jehovah. I was often at home with him and his parents. Untill they saw my Deicide Shirt. His parents totaly freaked out.
He was never allowed again to play with me, and i was never welcome again at their home. ..ill never forget that.
as i came home, that special afternoon, and told my mom the story, what happed..she was totaly pissed and asked what freaky-people they are - to throw me out of the appartment, just because of the backprint of my tshirt.hahaha
Nice story with this hoodie. Good job on finding a way to be yourself while people tried to push you into another direction. Kinda reminds me of a field trip to some cathedral when I was in highschool. The priest or whoever he was didn't want to let me in his church because I was wearing a bandshirt, probably Slayer or something. Only way I could get in was to wear it inside out so nobody could see the print. The teacher tried to convince me I should do it because there would be a test about the stuff we would learn on the field trip a couple of days later... Instead I just stayed outside, lit up a fat joint and failed the test like a man :D
fuck..damn funny dude :D very nice story.., reminds me on myself, as i was around 14-15 years old. Deicide-Shirt, inverted crosses everywhere, some pentagrams..etc.
Was always funny :)

oh yeah i got a similar story. when i went on holiday with a friend recently we were supposed to leave our bags at this christian guesthouse for the afternoon, until we had to leave for the airport. so he absolutely refused to let me carry my bags in because of my venom shirt. so he just carried my bags for me while i had a nice walk around the neighborhood.
Yeah religious can be really stupid sometimes. I mean that they don't want someting anti theyre religion in theyre house OK, I mean If they are shocked when I start an Satanic ritual in theyre living room I understand lol. But at the end of the day an Metal shirt is nothing more then and shirt with an image on it. Sometimes not that satanic either (and still they do difficult about it then. It's not like "Demons" or "Satan" can enter your house trough an shirt. Sometimes they just need to think.

ehh. i was more bemused than pissed off. because this is the same guy who kept bringing me to strip clubs and such. if my "faith in satan" keeps me from smoking, indulging in the senses and makes me hardworking in responsible... maybe he should be more like me then. ;)
Hahaha. I can kind of relate. Where I am, the religious are assbackwards in terms of how they think. Maybe my town is "too liberal" but I digress since Alaska is mostly a red state. They have no problem with the whole homosexuality thing but my Benediction "Subconscious Terror" bootleg shirt with "Confess All Goodness" on the back they are not. What?
Sodomy: We love you (group hugz)
Benediction shirt: YOU BURN IN HELL!!!
LOL. That's kind of weird yeah. I mean if they wanna follow the teachings of the bible do it good then on not on your own terms. Don't get me wrong I am atheist as fuck and could care less about gay's Lesbian's and stuff and everyone can do who the fuck they want. But as far as I know the bible does say something like: they shall not lay with an man like they lay with an woman. But never heard of: They shall not wear benediction shirts! Making up your own rules from something you blindly follow is strange.
I find it hilarious that a good amount of the religious would give someone the metaphorical stoning (or actual stones depending where you are) when in turn Jesus was crucified between two thieves on the hill of Golgotha, hung out with whores, thieves and and mostly anyone that society turned their back on. He apparently healed lepers and despised self-righteous types too. Basically, there is a high percent chance of that man befriending the local goth kid who gets bullied everyday rather then members of the Westboro Baptist Church. The church today is everything he frowned upon. Oh, the irony! Even though I left Catholicism a long, long time ago, I still like to keep this stuff in mind when only studying religion.
hahah that's true for most religious people indeed... But what you just said is exactly how the JW community of my family reacts to me. They are nice and stuff regardless from how I look and behave because they think: 'if he already made the step to find us and come to us, he might take the step to become like us.' And they want to show how open and nice they are. Would they let me hang out with theyre kids? Never. Because then it would be without theyre supervision and they wouldn't be in a fast majority so I could be an influence over one of them. Instead of the otherway around, like they want. They would never shun me. Because they want me to become one of them. Scary shit man. Luckely I've never had to deal with real stones btw hahah lol. But my country is a little less religious then yours I think btw....
there is this christan guy at my work, he is realy extreme in that stuff, you can call it obsessed. all his music is about god, and he even listen to recorded preaches and stuff, reads the bible in every break, and only talks about god and work, nothing else matters to him.
so this one time i had my battle jacket on, and he got quite mad about it, i think mainly the nun on my backpatch and the smoking jesus from Down, don't think he has seen the Eyehategod patch, maybe bether keep it that way.
he still tries to make me come to church and ''save me''
"don't think he has seen the Eyehategod patch, maybe bether keep it that way." why think like this? He obviously seems to have no problem with showing who he is and almost forcing it into you. So you should have no problems just being who you are not hiding anything. He doesn't hide his believes anyway.
its not like i hide it from him, i wear my jacket a lot to work. i also told him a lot of time that i don't like religion.
i just know he is going to overreact when he sees something like that.
he already is the fool. everyone always jokes about him (in a friendly way, but always him) and not even only about religion, but everything, he managed to forget his laptop in the train, comes to late at work a lot, and makes some pretty big mistakes sometime. this one time he told everyone we where done at 12 o'clock. and the others had to get everyone back when they where going home. but here almost no one is religious anyway. kinda glad about that.
