So I finally folded and decided to give this album a fair shot. After years of dismissing White Lion has shit tier hair band fluff, I started warming up to their debut with its Priest leanings. It only made sense that this here should follow. In many ways, I feel White Lion were a traditional metal band trapped in a glam metal facade. The poppy moments are hit or miss, but the traditional cuts hit hard, especially “Lady of the Valley”.
