Phlebotomized - Devoted to God

Pretty cool band, but I'm not entirely sold on this demo. The material is absolutely there, but the whole thing just sounds too murky for them to really shine. I thought I just had a bad tape, but since the spoken samples on it sounds crisp and audible it leads me to think that this muddy production was a conscious choice. I'd still say it sounds acceptable by demo standards, but I feel there is some "bite" lacking.
Also the form factor is a bit weird, why split it up into two sides when the whole thing is not even 30 minutes in total?

All in all a cool demo, this is a re-release by Carnage Records.
(Actually the version on youtube sounds a lot better, so it might just be my tape after all).
