My first guitar, an 1984 Kramer American Standard. Bought it used in 1987; Was originally white, painted it black in '92 added E.V.H. motif (yellow duct tape) in '06.

Wow, very nice job! I was going to originally go for this design when i did mine, but i decided on the red/white/black frankenstrat paintjob, ive got pics uploaded if you want to check it out. How long did it take you?

Thanks! It took me about a week or so. The body was orig. white so I stripped it down, sanded the body & filled in the neck p/u, did like 4 coats of black & 2 coats of clear then got the yellow tape & took my time "copying" the design from a pic I had in Guitar World. I'd rather of done the Red/Blk/Wht one too but my neck has a black headstock & fig'd it was easier, lol. Thanks again! And yours looks Sweet!!!

Haha funny you say that, I actually wanted to do the black/yellow design originally but decided on the classic red/black/white. EVH was a genius. Have you seen his 'explorer'?
