How to ship stuff to other countries for cheap/ reasonably priced

Hey just wondering as to how I go about sending stuff to other countries cheaply. A friend of mine wants to buy my Manilla Road patch and I can’t get it to his country because it’s like $100+ to ship the damn thing. I also want to get more into trading shit so id like to know how to do this. If yall have methods that work best for you id like to know. Thanks and stay safe out there \m/

If it can fit in a letter envelope you can mail unregistered from USPS for $1.50 (last I checked). That BP shouldn't cost you $100 to mail, I sent a 3LP set to Germany this year and it was only about $43 bucks. If you are shipping internationally use USPS, they are still expensive but not abhorrently so like FedEx or UPS.

Thanks man I really appreciate the advice.

USPS registered letter for internationally shipped patches - it will be like $20 put the patch in the envelope and ship it in person at your post office registered letter. They will give you a tracking number

Can confirm on this one. Send an envelope to Switzerland for about $18, full tracking with delivery conf.

Use pirateship.com everything is shipped usps but for cheaper rates and you can do it from home

I second this! It'll save you a few dollars most of the time. Overall it is by weight. On average it'll cost $25-$30 to mail a back patch flat to Australia for example, and a long sleeve shirt to Australia that was size XL or 2XL was $39.

Interestingly enough, the back patch is going to Australia, or hopefully it is anyway.

super interesting, have you used pirateship when buying from some shop instead of a person? like if i bought something from amazon or rockauto.. :) or it requires the sender to be in on the game?

From what I understand it's only for when you're mailing something and it's up the mailer to choose how they want to mail their stuff, whether it be via the post office, pirateship.com, stamps.com, etc. From what I understand with Pirateship is that they have a deal with UPS and USPS to offer you the actual flat rate in cost. But, yes, it requires the sender to be in on the game.

When I mail a back patch flat within the USA it avergages between $4.50-5.50 via Pirateship, however if I take that same back patch to the USPS post office it will then cost the street price $6-7.50.

The pirateship prices are what USPS's prices use to be before all the recent inflation.
