Yeah, that's traditional japanese construction. The floors were made of straw mats of uniform size. even now the term for the mats (tatami) is used to describe the estimated size of a room.

You are right but these are like divisory for rooms and not every house have it only the very old ones mostly of the wall here is made from wood with a wall paper,if i punch my wall i can break it haha

she says she fixed the flags onto her wall with push pins. Thus her wall must be made out of something soft. I haven't lived in a house where the walls were anything other than concrete or brick.

hm...dont must be. if i remember my old room, as i was living at my parents, there was also a brick-wall. But for Cloth.posters...some Pins were enough. ok..on every second wind.blow from a open-window...it went off the wall..but..the most of time...it was working with pins only :D

Actually I live in a shack.. Got no means to live in a decent place made on brick and concrete ;) My wall is made of many layers of cardboard and white papers ;)

Ah, should have guessed :D One can actually learn quite a bit of some language by listening a band with foreign lyrics and by finding translations for them.
