I hever never been able to figure out how to sew a patch with a colored border (yellow red purple etc) on without the thread showing, I know you can use thread with the same color but its hard to find the exact color.. So if you know how please tell me.
To be honest as long as you have thread that's the same general color it's nearly impossible to notice. I actually sewed my red bordered Reign in Blood patch with pink thread and you can't tell it's not red unless you look on the inside.

The white in the picture is for illustration purposes. When you sew just use thread of a color matching the patch.

+2 I always sew my patches on like that, even if the borders were black.

yeah, I don't sew on the border either. it fucks the border up if you make tiny stitches. just sew right before the border starts
