When Master played in the Swedish town Uppsala 1991 (The third biggest town in Sweden)
only 28 people showed up to pay their respect, but they played the whole set.
When Master played in Finland in 2010, I was having a chat with Speckmann at the merchandise desk and people came to ask him in finnish about the shirt prices... Guess Master is destined to stay unknown despite their quality and determination.
Oh fuck yeah. I've always wanted an old Master shirt. It seems that the Swed's have the biggest following of Speckmann's works. I first heard about the pre-Master project known as Death Strike thanks to the Special Thnaks notes inside "Left Hand Path". Speckmann has never dissapointed me. One of the few death metal acts that have been around for over 29 years that have stayed true to the roots. MANNEQUIN MANNEQUIN...THEY'RE ALL THE SAME!!
When I saw Master last year in Ingolstadt with 4 pre bands, there were only about 15 visitors and circa 16 band members. But they played the complete set.
It was just fucking amazing. Paul Speckmann signed my kutte, directly under my selfembroidered Master Logo patch.
I hope to see this great band much more times! (I've seen 'em 3 times so far. I wanted to attend the tour with "Massacre" and Macabre, but it was cancelled :/)
And at the two concerts I've seen (the other was a festival gig) Speckmann left the stage to smoke a cigarette, while Zdeněk Pradlovský had to play a 5 minute drum solo ^^
Oh my gosh, 28 ppl? Poor Paul, I hope you view guys at least thrashed your heart out? Master are awesome! If their ureleased album came out in 1985, alot of things would be different for Speckmann I guess. He's a real underground legend!
