I hope that some of these "oh let's jump in the latest trend, I've ALWAYS wanted to play occult poprock, I swear!" bands will follow their leader though...
ehh. the devil's blood is pretty much the only good one. some are just uninspired crap, yes. but the devil's blood is actually pretty good.

I don't listen to them either but what I meant was that they, to my knowledge, started the trend with all the uninspired crap, being the "original" one themselves though. Those worthless bands quickly copying the new big thing should stick with the mimic with splitting up as well.

don't know man... i always saw it as ghost. especially since they first jumped to a major label. i'm not too aware of this very much since i'm not very much into the genre, aside from the devil's blood.
..but yeah, i agree that those uninspired clones are a waste of time and should split up.

Saying something is is a waste of time because there might be bands that sound similar or may of had done it before is ludicrous, that logic doesn't make sense, nothing is original these days, it has already been done before by some other musician somewhere down the line.
Plenty of bands are similar, the entire black metal genre for a start, as well as death metal etc etc haha
what i meant was that i usually don't enjoy bands that seem overtly derivative or uninspired.
...and no, i wont say the entire black metal genre is similar. something like necros christos and something like goatpenis are vastly different from each other, for example.
