I saw King Diamond at the same venue in Chicago a few years back, was way more crowded for King Diamond than it was for Emperor.
I think it was bad promotion and not a lot of notice of the tour, they posted they’re doing a tour like 2 months notice.

Crowd was crazier than any King Diamond or Mercyful Fate show I've seen. The pit area in Brooklyn was packed like sardines up front. We were sweating heavily. Also throwing us around as if we were in a washing machine.
Too bad for those who didn’t get to go. What black metal fan blows off Emperor?

I was honestly surprised that the Chicago date for Emperor didn’t sell out, given how long that it’s been since they’ve actually done a US tour and not a one off festival appearance

Crowd in Brooklyn was not pleased when Ihsahn mentioned Chicago and a few immediate "f Chicagos" came about and Ihsahn was amused. He just continued on.

Norweigan black metal on a hot summer night will be a weird juxtapositon, but have a blast seeing these gents on tour! They almost never come to the states.
