I guess I can see why COF might be hated due to the Black Metal label? They seem more like Gothic more then anything? Despite the poor label, I still think they are a good band.

Yeah. Remind me of the way thrashers treated GnR in early 90's. I don't want to have to choose only because some guys aren't strong enough in their mind to like it. I find some of their songs interesting, even if I won't buy any disc of them. To make a parallel, I like middle-age literature best (I can read French of the Middle Age and Latin), but I can appreciate some heroic-fantasy shit from time to time...
