Faber on
Future Tense!! And VIrtue!! And Quartz and Witchfynde patches to top it off!
whiteravenmetal on
thanks dude :) Cheers!
Faber on
Future Tense had done a show here in my hometown (in what my father used to call the stuffkikker ten (free translation: the drugs bunnies den)). Too bad I wasen't born by then. Just like Slayer and other band in the beginning of Metal. I was born too late! haha
whiteravenmetal on
fuck, we all born too late it seems haha. Future Tense is just such a great band, they really deserve more attention.
Faber on
Yeah indeed. They did 11 years ago a reunionshow at the festival of the Dutch metalfanclub Heavy Metal Maniacs. But I was 13 so my parents didn't let me travel to the otherside of the country for that festival. :p
Syrinx 2112 on
Heavy Metal Maniacs... ik geloof dat het dit jaar met Grim Reaper is, de line-up wordt wel minder goed met de jaren.
whiteravenmetal on
hahaha, damn what a shame. They also rerecorded some old songs in that reunion I think. Will be great to see some live gigs in the future!
Faber on
Yeah Heavy Maniacs Festival line-ups aren't getting better sadly enough. Allthough Steve still sounds pretty good after all these years. Think gonna take a look. Midnight Messiah is the incarnation of Elixer. Would love to hear some songs of Son of Odin live. They also sound pretty good live: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YueFZ5kIu3g
Haven't heard any of these reunion songs yet.. shall look it up some time.
Syrinx 2112 on
Definitely can't disagree with that, Steve's still rocking like back in the day. I checked them out last year in November, together with Tokyo Blade, woooow, just wow. No Heavy Metal Maniacs for me sadly, it's Live Evil that weekend.
And about that video you posted from Midnight Messiah, I actually saw them live there at HOA last year! I think they only did The Star of Beshaan from Son of Odin though but they were still pretty cool.
whiteravenmetal on
those tracks are in the comp. of the picture, couldn't found them on youtube. The Midnight Messiah thing sounds cool, Son of Odin is the beast of an album, amazing record.
TheePhilosopher on
All these are badass! But where did you find the Vf??
whiteravenmetal on
thanks man, I got that one from a local seller, I think is a peruvian boot. Anyway VF demos has been released in 2 vinyls recently. http://www.hrrshop.de/VIOLENT-FORCE-Demo-Collection-Dead-City-II-III_1
TheePhilosopher on
Ah alright thanks a lot man!

That Witchfynde patch rules!
whiteravenmetal on
thanks mate, great patch indeed
Syrinx 2112 on
Sick Virtue and Witchfynde strips! The We Stand To Fight vinyl is killer too!
whiteravenmetal on
thanks :) yes it is, I had a hard time getting that one but finally is mine.
Syrinx 2112 on
Congrats! You truly deserve it if you did all that effort!
whiteravenmetal on
thanks my friend, it was also a hard choice haha, I could got Alien Force "Hell and High Water", but I got the Virtue instead.
Syrinx 2112 on
Yeah, sadly either of us have all the money in the world so we have some tough choices to make. The Alien Force would have been cool too but I mean, it's Virtue... ;)
Faber on
Good choice Virtue is waaayy better than Allied Forces!
Syrinx 2112 on
Agreed but we were actually talking about Alien Force. But I guess the Dutchie in you read Allied Forces. ;)
Faber on
Crap you're right! hahah Time for a second chance
Good choice Virtue is waaayy better than Alien Force!
whiteravenmetal on
hahahaha can't refute that hahaha. You know which band is better than Virtue? Charger! I like Virtue and all but I think they had been a little overexposed lately ;)
Faber on
The Charger from the Desperadoes single right? Then I completely agree!
whiteravenmetal on
yeah that one, just 1 single and automatically one of the bests of NWOBHM! There's plenty of those like Marquis de Sade, Deep Machine, Le Griffe, Mythra... But only Virtue got famous hahaha
Syrinx 2112 on
Yes dude! Marquis de Sade, they're absolutely great! Then you must know Sanctus too? Their guitar player played in Marquis de Sade too and released Welcome To The Graveyard in both bands.
I really love discovering the underground NWOBHM like Voltz, Traitor's Gate, Limelight, Tytan. I could go on for hours.
But if you like Deep Machine etc, this is the perfect event for you: Witchfynde, Tokyo Blade, Tygers, Jaguar, Tysondog, Desolation Angels: https://www.facebook.com/events/814739891879294/
Syrinx 2112 on
And this too: https://www.facebook.com/events/618238894935328/
Mythra will play there together with Tyrant, Black Rose, Night Vision, Radium, Troyen, Chasar, all underground NWOBHM!!!
whiteravenmetal on
Brofest is like Valhalla on earth or something haha, too many legendary bands in just one gig, I really wish I could go! I mean reunions of Race Against Time, Radium, Night Vision!! is just to good to be true. I praise all those bands you mention daily, and I really like Sanctus, that's prog Metal played the right way. Check this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8KYfdWA_szU
Syrinx 2112 on
First reaction is usually: am I dreaming?! It's unbelievable. Why don't you try to make it? Save up some money for a flight? A lot of NWOBHM bands reunite to play at Brofest!
Glad you agree. Tamarisk is awesome too, very proggy, love it, thanks!
whiteravenmetal on
well is kind of hard to make it from South America, and reaaally expensive... But I know someday I'll be there.
Syrinx 2112 on
Hmn, on second thought, yeah, that would be rather difficult. I praise myself lucky to live in Europe and therefore in an easier position to go to the UK.
Hopefully some day ;)
whiteravenmetal on
I'll let you know to share some beers ;)
Syrinx 2112 on
Would be great! ;)
Syrinx 2112 on
To tell you the truth, I hadn't heard of Charger before, just giving it a go, wooow, so far so good, the guitarwork is sick, I'm blown away!
whiteravenmetal on
glad you like it, is a shame that they only recorded 3 tracks, too much potential they had!
Syrinx 2112 on
Sadly, you have that with a lot of those bands, they only released a demo or 7" or EP in the 80s and quit afterwards.
whiteravenmetal on
yeah you are right, being Metal is tough haha. I also prefer the Virtue, because is sold-out everywhere, I can get the A.F. later.
gloriousdeath on
cool stuff... Demon lp is just brilliant
whiteravenmetal on
thanks! absolutely, Love that record since the first time I heard it some years ago.
Morbideath on
Demon and Virtue! really nice NW bands!
whiteravenmetal on
