Love this so much...
3d pic is some Repulsion worship: shirt, tape, Col's drumsticks from Neurotic Deathfest and Scott and Matt's picks from Hammer Open Air
Very nice! Repulsion is one of the very best there is! And the best gig i've seen so far. Btw, i caught the setlist from that gig and my friend caught the other one. Then some guy was giving some heat because all the setlists ended up to our group :D
Thanx! really happy when I got this one in the mail! :) I must say they were a lot better at Hammer, than at Neurotic Deathfest. I guess it was just the atmosphere of Hammer. It's all so intimate, I think. Had a talk with Col after the show, he's a great guy, just like the rest. Even gave my girlfriend 3 drink-tix because it was her birthday, haha! Some guy giving you shit because of that is ridiculous. You caught the setlist, you'd be an idiot if you just let it go because a friend in your group already caught one hehe.. Then again, it might've just been the alcohol, because I've never seen ppl more shitfaced at festivals than at Hammer... not even at Keep It True hahaha!
Yeah, there were some pretty drunk ones. All in all i had great time, it was a good trip. Though the festival was full of disappointments. Candlemass and Gorgoroth were shit IMO. And i really disliked many people there, the place was full of idiots. But still the cream on the cake was the guy with dreadlocks and Machine Head shirt trying to start a moshpit all the time on the Gorgoroth gig. I heard that he got punched when some other band(don't remember what) was playing later when he was, surprise surprise, starting to push people for making the pit again. One of the highlights was definitely when we were hanging with Ghiulz from Bulldozer after their gig and he bought me and my friend beers. Btw did you throw your band's tape to Scott after the show?
I really think moshing, stagediving and crowdsurfing is something you shouldn't do during Black Metal. I enjoy watching those shows, and I really think it doesn't fit in with the atmosphere and mood the music sets. It's annoying to say the least. Our absolute low was trying to get my gf out of the front row during Venom, because she got a panic attack. That was one hell of a job....
I wish I did bring a tape, haha ;D that wasn't me, sadly, but I also saw that! I only have one small negative point on Hammer.. and that's all the neo-nazi scum, sieg heil-ing their way around the festival area. Political beliefs and opinions leave me indifferent, no matter what they are, but I HATE it when people go all out of their way to show everyone what those beliefs are...
EXACTLY! I fucking hated the extreme right-wing idiots. Singing these fucking patriotic songs on the camping area through the night. Had to sleep with my earplugs on. Those people are just fucking dumb, that's all i got to say. If one has racist beliefs, i still respect their opinion. But that doesn't mean i appreciate their opinion. But they act like fucking idiots always. And i'm not one of these people who have this zero-tolerance on nazism in metal scene. Though i hate the ideology. My good friend is some sort of a fucking neo-nazi but still we won't let our ideologies(i have the 'equality for all'-attitude) come between our friendship. And about the black metal gigs, i agree. It doesn't belong to black metal shows. But using violence is fucking wrong, specially for such a ridiculous reason as that. And it seems i remembered wrong, i were almost sure my memory played right :D
