Actually I was surprised at how much I liked this. Sigh's later stuff has always been a tad to overproduced for my taste. It seems like their later outputs is little more than a personal contest of how many layers of music and shifts in tempo and structure one can cram into one song.
This album seemed more focused and to the point than many of their other ones.
I haven't listened to Gallows Gallery, In Somniphobia, or hangman's hymn. only infidel art, scorn defeat, hail horror hail, and ghastly funeral theatre. I really liked those ones and i thought graveward was amazing coming from them. I'll have to give the ones preceding graveward a listen.
