I feel like I made a post a few months ago, but i couldn't find the thread. So I'm making a new one to bring this fucker to light, since he had the audacity to try and repeat his offense.
I bought 7 patches from this guy around the end of summer last year through instagram. I thought I had purchased from him before, thinking he was reliable, so I payed with "friends and family" (NEVER DO THAT! That's definitly on me and my bad memory).
He provided an image of the letter that never got sent. After months of not recieving the patches, he started ghosting my messages. A few months later he "offered" to send me the patches again for half the price. I agreed to send the money once they would arrive, and if shipping included tracking this time (because i knew he was full of shit) and he agreed to the deal. No surprise, he ghosted me ever since and had not provided any tracking number or confirmed that the patches had been sent.
Beware of this swine. These are his socials:

If he knows you’ve got your ass covered, he’ll probably play nice. But he will surely take any chance to rip you off, if he can. It’s a damn shame too, cus he has some really dope patches (although a lot of remakes of sought after vintage rarities).

Maybe this doesn't add anything to your cause but this HellAwaits guy (real name Gig Kaiser) was a well-known despised scalper in the early '10s.
He used to constantly buy multiple copies of patches and die-hard LPs and instantly list them on eBay and Facebook for 3, 4 and even 5 times the original price. Sometimes he was doing this while the aforementioned product was still for sale on retail price.
He was so dumb, shallow and shameless that won the anger of nearly every metalhead back then; to the point that bands like Desaster and Cruel Force banned him from buying their stuff.
I even heard that he was constantly mocked in shows or festivals but I cannot confirm anything like that.
And a few years ago he somehow got access to one of my old Retaliation Prods designs (the Bathory "Black Metal" shield) and started to produce it on his own as part of his rooster of bootlegs. He only changed border color.
I think that has to tell everything about him.

Damn! From my conversations with him, it wouldn’t surprise me he’d do something like that. The guy is a petty thief, not afraid to suck on any dishonest tit that’ll give him a quick buck. The guy might be a corporate lizard, since he’ll maximize his profits any way he can, while acting like he’s “playing by the book”.
Just cus you got the power, don’t mean you got the right!

I coincided with him two or three times at German festivals between 2012 and 2014 and he looked very awkward and socially inept. He always got me this impression of being someone that simply didn't knew better. But overall yeah I can confirm he's a greedy and shallow poor guy.

Hope they find a cure

I hadn't heard that name in forever!! I remember him well from back in those days. Around 2012 or so. I even had one or two trades with him before he became infamous. I think his ebay name was nifelheimer666. People even made some silly digital badges with his face, saying "nifelheimer666 approved" or something like that and used it on ebay listings back then. i'm sure there are more people from those days that will remember that. Although i was never ripped off by him, and had no idea he was still around, it doesn't surprise me much.

Hahaha that’s hilarious!

Holy shit... just seeing that name is a throwback hahahah.

Oh shit, "nifelheimer666 approved" HAHAHAHAHA that was hilarious!! I remember lots of listings with this. Brings back a lot of memories from back then.
Well, that was the level of love we all had for him. You have to be really the most dumbbass in town for everyone in the world to make fun of you and have your own eBay seal of approval. That guy was the first meme of patches.
Here goes our "HellAwaits Patches" guy.

My experience with him are good, as in he sends the stuff, but he overcharges on shipping. I believe he charges like 7 euro for unregistered shipping while that only costs about 3 euro (as can be seen on the stamp). I told him this is not ok and that he is ripping people off, only for him to say that those 4 euros are 'handling costs'.... I don't buy from him anymore.
Corrosive on
He was doing this even back then. Classic Gig moves.
southerncrossripper on
I have called people out on that before and have been refunded while buying and trading in this website. If you add an extra euro i can understand. To cover the cost of the envelope and duct tape and gas to drop it off. But 5€ or 4€? Fuck off.
Even Death May Die
Let me play devil's advocate here... since the shipment was untracked, how do you know it didnt just get lost in shipping?
Risalamande on
Asked for the return address on the letter and other info, to contact DHL support, so they could maybe track it down. No package or reciept of the postage could be found, and he deleted the messages shortly after. A review on his facebook page mentioned a similar experience. Generally suspicious in the DMs too.
En vaske ægte skiderik!

Didn't get scammed by him but he got really grumpy, almost angry, when I mentioned the rip off postage and that it's against PayPal regulations to ask for the buyer to pay the fees. A bit pushy as well, demanding instant payment and asking when I going to pay just a few minutes later. Not a bad experience, but not really good one either. Never bought anything from him after that first time.
Even Death May Die
I assume the return adress on the letter would be his person one, maybe he does not want to give that out. He might not have gotten any confirmation when shipping the letter, he might have just used stamps and thrown it in a mail box. Contacting DHL support about a untracked package is probably not gonna help, what did you hope they could possibly do when its untracked?
With the amount of packages that guy ships this is bound to happen some times, not surprising that another person has had this happen to them before and posted about it on his Facebook page.
If we give him the benefit of the doubt, then the only thing I think we can clearly say he is guilty for, in this case, is bad communication
Risalamande on
I've had mail found before, and never had this happen with standard shipping from germany to denmark. If he already sent the address, then why delete it? Also the picture he sent of the letter, with the patches next to it, did not look like it could fit seven patches, but that's just speculative. I've seen some wonders in patch packaging tho haha.
As mentioned he also agreed to send the patches again, and he kept saying he was still down for the deal every time i messaged him, but never followed up on it.

In my experience interacting with him, can definitely confirm socially inept "thick" behavior.
I bought from him in 2022, 2024, and 2025 one patch per order. Untracked shipping.
Received successfully until 2025 patch never arrived.
After I placed my 2025 order, he did post a photo of the envelope with my correct address he wrote on it -- and important to add -- one of the numbers was written vaguely, and I remember thinking this might cause postal issues. So I already doubted I would receive that envelope, and never did.
My guess -- he really sent it, and it bounced in postal system due to inability to interpret my zip code, and was returned back to the sender. Which he covered up and never mentioned -- because I paid untracked shipping and "friends & family" LIKE A FOOL.
I didn't bother challenging him about it because -- well, I made careless decisions and got played.
TBH wasn't surprised, given my impressions. So that's on me for being a fool choosing untracked and "f & f".
Seems like a guy who needs money so he needs a legit reputation to get the sales, BUT if you're not careful -- he'll cut corners and play you.
I really fucking wanted that patch though (one that never came). I wanted it so damn hard I bought it again with TRACKED shipping. Worth the damn ripoff cost. So because it was tracked, it successfully arrived.
(of course he never mentioned the lost or returned patch, I bet it was even the same exact one I bought earlier that bounced. LOL scummy creature but a very smooth player, gotta admit

A very similar story. Tight fuckin patches, but wasn't gonna play his games. Almost more annoying when they pick and chose when they will scam.
FarFarNorth on
"Edgy" posturing in metal is so normalized we often forget metal genre / "community" attracts genuine clinical-level sociopaths. Like this prime example. He qualifies for Cluster B easily. They literally get off on being unpredictable and stringing ppl along.
Forgot to add -- I noticed he's gone through several different FB "page" accounts over the years.
And very tellingly -- never sets up any actual webstore for his "patch business". Which would serve his best interest if he was transparent. Red flag.
Very 1990s-tape-trading vibe, "welcome to the underground" where the underground is sending well hidden cash to sketchy troglodytes in Malaysia who will or will not send you a home-ripped TDK cassette with grainy xerox wrapper claiming it's a kvlt rehearsal demo same program repeats on both sides and then it arrives blank and we actually look back with nostalgia about getting ripped off like that because it's part of the experience and justify it by creating "lore" around those items to cover cognitive dissonance of getting duped no the tape really plays the kvlt rehearsal demo it's too kvlt to be audible

Motherfucker how I didn’t see this post 2 days before, I just ordered 3 patches from him and he sent me an envelope with my name and address on it, somehow he told me to ship last Saturday but yet he claimed that he shipped today, who the hell knows if that’s true…

Update: just got my order, but that might just be a stroke of luck, I probably won't purchase again

The Scammer in him is back huh?Oh the memories coming back...
He used to be in here back in 2010's as mentioned before. He was one of the first ones to get a lot of users in here pissed with multiple accounts, multiple posts on the forum about him and even Dr.D had to be envolved in the hunt, got perma-banned of this page,I remember we had a crusade of reporting his Ebay links back then, everyday he posted the stolen patches or other items, finally ebay mods took him down aswell for a while.
Then the mad man ( correct me if im wrong) created his own social group in Facebook, which is the biggest one currenlty with more active users; Original &BootlegMetalPatches group, and stated that he abandoned the scammer life and wanted to be in peace and start again doing the proper thing, so he did that for a few years, just earning again the trust of buyers in that group and people forgot about his past.(i think his old facebook account can be seen on the info section) but hes not there any more, since instagram made its apperence he's:" hell awaits patches."
I have bought several of his patches from his Instagram account and always went smooth, but i was always suspicios since he could scam me again the same way he used to. Also his posts of "Personal colection of old designs or found a couple of old patches with old designs in a box" are just a way to justify the rise of price on not that old patches of his creation, a fishy way to scam a few coins of buyers. he does this once in a while.
Darjeeling_117 on
This is a well known thing by most people in the scene, he pulls this shit constantly. He also scalps his own patches, steals designs, and generally makes low quality slop that floods the market. The dude is purely in it for the $. Avoid him at all costs
Korba on
I didn't know about his past, but I've bought from him about three times. The first time, it was just two patches. It took a looooong time to get them. I thought they had been lost by the post office, even though the shipping route was from Germany to Poland, so very close. However, that wasn't the case - patches arrived after three or four months. It was the pandemic, so maybe that had something to do with it. The second and third times, everything went smoothly. Generalny I can't complain.
