Finally I managed to dig out this bad boy in the yellow version, hell yeah!! It's been a struggle, but totally worth the effort, what a beast!

Sadly I was looking it up for my brother, so I don't get to keep it, but nevertheless it's worth an upload here. Now I will start hunting for my own! ;-)

Edit: 2nd picture shows the condition the backpatch was in when received from the old owner. I think we did a good restoration job there! \m/

Very good eyes mate! I've uploaded a second picture. It shows the condition the backpatch was in, when we got it. I'm pretty happy after the first shock treatment (it wasn't shown on pictures or communicated at all that there is this little "cartoon" on it, so my brother and I both fell off our chairs, when we had it in hands! ^^).

Did you simply wash the patch or did you give some other special treatment?

Well yeah, but I wouldn't blame the seller, as I suppose it wasn't done on purpose. And in the end we can be satisfied with the result, I think. He's using it for his vest and will likely cover the "R" with something, so it won't be as obviously as naked as it is.
After all I am still pretty speechless why in the world you would want to draw other band logos on patches of a specific band, rather than just painting it on a blank space or - simple as that - use a patch! :D but maybe it's just me.
And no, I wasn't sure about washing it and was worried that the print would suffer. And if you don't know what was used to write on the patch, it's also difficult to decide on a substance to remove it, you could end up ruining the whole bitch. So we ended up using textile markers, which did an awesome job! Only the reflections on the black space I had no clue how to fix that, but hell, it's not my patch after all, I did what I could, hahahaha. %-]

I honestly have no clue why they would do that either haha! I know a lot of people would write on their vests back in the 80's, but not on their back patches. Yeah, washing it would be too risky, and I think you guys did an excellent job removing it. Either way, sick patch Martin!!!! \m/
